Re: Favorite thing about Fall
I live in Colorado, where we don't really experience fall as such. It's just a period of alternating summer and winter. Today being the perfect example; It was 80-some degrees yesterday, and today was a high of 38 and the first snow.

Re: New Petra Project
Petra is retired. All of them. The only reason things like CPR exist is because they enjoy doing it. There is absolutely zero money in any of it, but thankfully they don't need money. They just do what they love because they can. There is no pragmatic reason for it. But just because Petra is officia...

CPR in Palmer Lake, CO
Was able to go to a Petra concert for the first time! (Classic Petra "Revival", as they call it now) The venue was the Tri Lakes Center for the Arts, which is a tiny building in the middle of nowhere. There were about 100 people total, which was about the most that would fit anyway, but it was still...

Re: CD collections
I share a collection with my father and brother, which totalled about 600 discs last I counted. It's all in storage right now, though, so it's hard to get a picture. Certainly can't list everything, but I can say that it includes all the albums of the following bands (in CD/Record): Petra Newsboys W...

My favorites are definitely "Sanctuary" and "When Everyone Wore Hats". Honorable mentions to "It's the 80s (Rocket Packs)" and "Posse In The Sky" as well.

Re: What if??? - The 2010 Classic Petra reunion 84', 85' lineup
Why isn’t Greg volts part of the dream team? Idk, people generally consider the lineup with John Schlitt ~1990 the dream team. I like Greg too though The "Dream Team" refers more to how well they worked together; the lineup of Hartman, Schlitt, Weaver, Lawry and Cates were together for 6 years (198...

Re: At Your Fingertips
I remember that I was really frustrated at that age, too; the main thing is to keep your heart right with God, so that when the time comes, you will be able to do what is right. I've known many people who tried to jump into life on their own, only to sink into the world because they had no root in t...

Wow, now your making me feel old. I've always been the youngest wherever I went, and suddenly now there's people younger than me everywhere! My coworkers, my gaming group, now even here! I'm too young to be old! Give me a break!

Re: Good advice for singing??
As an introvert, singing publicly has always been terrifying to me. Singing at all, really. :) But once I started doing it, it became addictive. So first off, there is nothing that "just isn't done". Everything can be done somewhere. Even some "live" musicians use instrumental tracks. However, some ...

Re: Which CCR Musician would you meet?
I would meet John Lawry. And I did. And it was a great time!
Others I would like to meet would be Bob Hartman, Stephen Crumbacher, Steve Camp, and Eddie DeGarmo.

Re: Your Music Testimony
I grew up with CCM; primarily Newsboys, Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman and Mark Schultz. In my early teens I started listening to Petra (already long defunct), and then some other older bands, and realized that I actually liked the 80s music much more than that of modern bands. I'...
