As much as I love Petra, I don't like this album... at all! I had to actually go hunt for it to pick a fave for the poll. The only song I like on here is the version of "Judas' Kiss", so it gets my vote. Sorry guys, this CD just ranks way below everything else in my collection.

Unfortunately, that concert was in 2004. It was wonderful. Wish you could have been there with us. Three of the four original members of Petra still play together under the name GHF. They have some gigs coming up that will be listed on their wesite www.ghfband.com and will probably be announced here...

Re: RE: Who were all of the people in Ft. Wayne???
These were the original members of Petra, and they were playing songs off the first two Petra albums.tddmAdam wrote:I was at the Fort Wayne concert as well, and once John got off of the stage who was Bob playing with? I got bored with it and we left because we had 1.5 hour drive.

Actually, the old stuff was played by GHF and Bob Hartman together, so you could call it the original Petra :) As a fan, I find it really cool that I have gotten to see all 4 of these guys (Hartman, Glover, Hough, DeGroff) play together a few times now... There really is something special there. And...

Jody's daughter Bethany has been sick off and on since she was born, and has spent much time in hospitals and etc. Jody chose to be with his family (with the blessings of the rest of the Newsboys and most of the fans...) I didn't feel their last guitarist, Bryan somebody--sorry I forget his name, wa...

I always go to Winterjam when they stop in Fort Wayne Indiana each year. I just saw this year's show on Saturday :) This was one of the better lineups I have seen: Hawk Nelson, Zoegirl, Newsong, Toby Mac (yes, he did some DC Talk stuff), and ending the night with the Newsboys! If you get a chance, G...

The original Petra guys (DeGroff, Glover, Hough) are playing together these days in a band called GHF. They have a website at www.ghfband.com which has some info on each of them. They also have a CD available which contains some new stuff, as well as recent reworkings of some of the early Petra song...

My favorite Petra album, containing my favorite Petra song of all time... "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered". That song sums up my whole realization of what Christ did for us. It is also the one song I truly remember from the night I actually became a Christian (at a Petra show in 1997). I listen to th...

Thanks so much, you guys rock! John and I had an incredible experince for my birthday. One of the other musicians in my church music team took us up in his little Piper Cherokee airplane! He even gave me the controls for a few minutes-I FLEW THE PLANE! I haven't been in a small private plane like th...

I am adult ADHD, and have chosen to be non-medicated at this point. I was diagnosed at age 6 (nearly 30 years ago), when the diagnosis wasn't very common, and was blessed to have a mom who was a special education teacher that recognied what was going on and helped me. I probably would have been an o...

We're the exact opposite... Noone here has a CLUE about curling! I'd love to try it one day, but the nearest place I know to play is nearly 2 hours away. You have to love a game that takes as much or more thinking as it does brawn... My preference (as you probably noted) is more for the endurance ev...

Winter Olympics
Just wondered how many other Petheads are also following the Games, and which ones you enjoy? My favorites are women's hockey (I played when I was younger), men's and pairs figure skating, cross country skiing, snowboard cross, curling (yes, I do understand the game LOL!), and more, but I watch ever...
