Re: Petra New Project?

I think I would agree with Brent in it being some type of retrospective on the band during those years, but I will say I've heard the Stephen Yake has said he has some pretty big financial backing into doing something people wouldn't expect, so who knows.

Re: Being alone

This topic is a little different for me. My wife passed away in 2019, so I was "alone" before this pandemic nonsense even started. I put "alone" in quotes because I still have my three kids, so I'm not lacking in human contact, but I do miss having another adult in the house. Where the pandemic has...

Re: Favorite bands

He either believes or he doesn't, and I don't think he does. If he did, he wouldn't say things like he's a liberal and "inclusive" cause we all know what that implies Well I think it's possible to be a liberal and a Christian, but it's just some of the things he's said I don't think it is I think t...

Re: Favorite bands

I know DC Talk were in talks for a reunion of some sort but that fell through and it was said it had to do with Kevin Max. Also the AA gig fell through very quickly after one album due to him not wanting to follow closely with the Christian beliefs the group held. Its been widely known for a long t...

Re: Favorite bands

Sure, I was just trying to reply to die hard and I wasn't sure of what Dan or Brent were referring to. I've been a Kevin Max fan for years now and while the guy is a great musician and is well meaning, I've noticed he doesn't really believe in biblical Christianity at all. Like? Well you'd have to ...

Re: Petra in Steelville, MO

Looks like the show at Meramec Music Theatre (postponed from March) is still on. https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/meramecmusictheatre/3877/event/1154903 I have tickets... just not sure logistically if it'll work (1.5 hour drive one way, and I'd like to bring the whole family, but that includes a 10...

Re: NEW STRYPER VIDEO

Yeah, "For God and Rock and Roll" is a strong track. Honestly, I'm not hearing anything on this album that I don't like. It's solid and consistent. It's rather amazing that a band as old as Stryper is still putting out new and fresh sounding albums and actively touring. That's better than even some...

Re: NEW STRYPER VIDEO

This album is some of their best stuff to date. Do Unto Others, Divider, & For God and Rock & Roll are my favorites

Re: NEW STRYPER VIDEO

Managed to get it a day early. Very good album. It has more of a "classic" Stryper sound than their previous few albums, sounding almost like something that could have been released in the 80s but also modern at the same time. It's a little hard to describe. I will agree with you; This thing kicks ...

Re: NEW STRYPER VIDEO

LET...HIM...IN. I like the production on this one more so than the previous albums. It almost sounds like they got someone else to mix it. Nice to really hear Perry's bass in there. "Let Him In" is already a favorite of mine. Perry brings so much to the recording and Robert's bass drum will not sto...

Re: NEW STRYPER VIDEO

I've heard the album and will have to say Stryper have taken it to the next level; something that I noticed right away was every song talks directly about Christianity and Jesus & God, unlike any of their other albums where you would get some "love tunes" thrown in.
