Until the fall of this year I was homeschooled and I have just completed my first semester of work in college. I would say that being homeschooled has prepared me very well in the academic side for college and life. On the other hand I have had a huge culture shock coming college. I will admit to an...

Thank you so much for your prayers. The whole point in the corps is that as a freshman you learn how to follow and work under great stress, which means that this last week (which has been an orientation week) has been the most difficult, stressful week of my life. On the upside in one week I have ma...

I think I can safely say that all of us will miss Petra, but I am in no way mad at Bob, John or any member, past or present, about the retirement of Petra. I am deeply dissapointed that at the end of the year there will be no Petra and I wish they had gotten the attention I think they deserved, but ...

Well my music intrest started when I was 15 or 16 but that was only two to three years ago. Even then most of Petra's work was well over ten years old.

So does this mean that when I am 40 I will look back and my favorite music will be 35-40 years old? Its hard enough to believe that my favorite recording (Beyond Belief) is 15 years old. I sure do hope the old styles come back.

The real problem biblically with purgatory is that this doctrine says that in some way Christ's sacrifice on the cross was not enough to save us from our sins, but that to enter heaven we must do some work-endure purgatory-to enter heaven. The reallity is that Christ did it all and we do nothing.

It sure is nice to here John saying that he does intend to continue doing music. I enjoy the two solo albums he has done a bunch and seeing more coming from him, while it may not be Petra, will be fun.

I would have to agree. With a limited amount of money to spend on CDs I would be much more inclined to buy a CD with all new stuff than a live one. It would also be nice to see them continue to develop the JAH sound some more.

I would have to agree with breadman. Grave Robber is a great song both in the music and the message. This song was a great encouragment to me when one of my good friends died.
