Took my son to University 6 hours away, then "Remodeled" his bedroom.

Holy COW!
If the pledge numbers cam be believed, he's already had $200 000 put towards it, and some real big backers.

Re: Tax Man
Personally, U2 sucks. Same old crap. If it were not for hundreds of floor delay pedals and straight chords, there would be no U2. Heck, if there were no U2, we would not have the modern P&W music. It all sounds like U2 to me. I hate it. Preaching to the choir here brotha. Back when Joshua Tree came...

Re: Godfixation
The only song on Double Take worth the time it took to record it was The Longing. I'm with you on that one. Maybe its the songs simplicity that makes it so appealing, but it's one of my favourites of their P&W stuff. I'm actually playing that one a lot right now as its a great preamble before going...

I use the excuse "But dear, its natural compost". Luckily there'll be several inches of snow to cover them until next spring.

Re: Christmas songs you DO like
Not a big Country fan, but Kenny & Dolly's Christmas album is a family favourite.
The title track "Once upon a Christmas" is terrific. Wish I had the pipes to carry it off.

Re: Christmas songs you do NOT like
Absolutely. I was listening to an on-line Christmas station that played 3-4 versions of this in one hour. They were all terrible. Lyrically and musically, has the sophistication of Mary had a little lamb.Markus wrote:My worst Christmas song of all time is definitely "Last Christmas".

Metal Evolution
Hi, There was a show on Much Music here in Canada called Metal Evolution. It talked how prog rock of the 70's inspired heavy metal bands, even into today. It was quite facinating and neat to see some of the band members and what they've become. My brother was more of a metal head then I, so I only r...

Re: Beyond Belief Tour-->Detroit
Thanks Trodlan. Brings me back to the days of the show in Worchester, MA. Instead of an opening act, they played the BB movie.
It was actually a great warm-ip to the show.
