Greg could play guitar; whether he did so on the album or not I don't know. Many times they'll use studio musicians on albums. It didn't happen to say in the credits? I'm curious now to; I'll have to look at who all played on the album. My understanding is that Greg never played guitar on the recor...

Occupy, occupy:
con-cu-bine, con-cu-bine

I wanna be a man pleaser:
I wanna see a man tease her

When we all will stand at the bema seat:
When we all will stand in the BMR's seat

Dont change hats:
don't chase cats

Can't see the forest for all of the trees:
Can't Florence fall down on her knees

Remeber folks. The economy is not God centered. It is man centered, and man driven. This whole concept expoused today that God has his own economy is nuts. We are here on earth. We live in the system. None of us can get by without playing the game. We have the same money that everyone else has. I sa...

Hey brent, Is this the recording he had in Tulsa, OK that Penny told me about?? I was so excited for Louie to get this gig! I can imagine that the recording was fun and I just know Louie must have had a blast! Yes ma'am. Project: Damage Control, HA! Label. It was great. I knew that Louie had drums/...

Louie just recorded drum tracks on a project that I am producing/engineering. The sessions were very fun. Louie has a band called Viktor. It is comprised of the former lead singer for King James, a buss driver/bass player from the Mylon LeFevre and Petra days, and a member from White Heart I believe...

1. When will John be working with Norm Abrahms on the New Yankie Workshop?
2. Just how many copies did J&H sell?
3. If John could have any of his musical hero's play in a session for solo CD, who would they be?
4. Craftsman or Dewalt saws?

As I said, most albums are still being pressed. Check www.musicforce.com, they got almost all Petra-albums. Perhaps the first Spanish album is really out of print, but I honestly don't know. Here in Europe most albums are still available at any christian bookstore. p-freak, can you tell me what the...

Wow, that brings back the "You Light Up My Life" memories. I also had that on 8-track. I purchased that at TG&Y, a "dime store". Only you old farts know what a dime store is.

I think that two albums are no longer available individually, and are consolidated onto one disc (WWT & NSD). I have not been seeing CITAS. I can go to my local Mardel's, etc and get anything else.

I do not know the true lingo of it, but the multi-platinum people that I have mixed for have always told me that they had would have to pay royalties if any part of a recorded song contains a part of another song, and it is obviously recognizable. That's as best as I can say it. Junior Brown, this g...

From a record label stand point, there are two records that never sell well, 1) Live records, 2) double records.

Only one live record broke that rule: Peter Frampton.

Re: KISS

As to the whole KISS thing... I personally think Petra pretty much flew under KISS's radar. But if you actually have evidence to the contrary, I (and lots of others here, too, I'll bet) would be interested to find out more. Hey Josh, I am quoting myself from your site, which has a similar thread: B...

Shell, i am pretty sure it was Petra that took them to court i can be wrong, but i remember CCM doing a big article about it, to be sure, it is not the writer who controls the copyright it is the copyright holder, whom can be anyone at this point, but to be sure KISS did NOT get permission to recor...

I agree. I didn't get to see VH with Dave, but I did see Dave the year he split. He had Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Greg Bisonette. That band was probably better than Van Halen right there. The most prophetic thing that Dave ever said was "Not even God can stop Van Halen." Well, he was wrong. Sammy is...
