Re: CPR is now openly marketing themselves as Classic Petra

Bob currently says on his website it's called Classic Petra Reunion, and has a link to the CPR website on his own site. Greg X called it Classic Petra Revival on short video promoting the Creation Fest gig. So who cares at this point. The 2 people that ran and made Classic possible are calling it Cl...

Re: II Guys From Petra with others 07/06/2018

Guys, do yourselves a favor and watch this concert. John sounds amazing and Bob is in top form. The other guys are great too. Tears of joy rolled down my eyes just hearing John sounding so great.

Of course you might know the Creation Fest date.
A new date has been set for Friday September 21, Lakeland Florida, Victory Church.

Re: CPR

John Lawry just posted today on Facebook his battle with pancreatic cancer while working on the CPR project. Thanks to God he has been given the clear from cancer after having it sugically removed. Some of the comments here in the Zone about this project, his work, have been appalling. very insensit...

Re: CPR

I mean all the negativity and obvious bias in the Zone against anything spearheaded by GXV. It's pretty harsh for him in here. Just think about how John Lawry feels when it's said here that all he did was produce a Karaoke CD. Jeez, be kinder to these men of God.

Re: CPR

It's really sad and embarrassing the way some people here talk about the musicians that at least I admire, that have been an inspiration to me both musically and spiritually. This effort by CPR does not come cheap and i know the people involved gave it their all. No wonder Bob wants nothing to do CC...

Re: CPR

Exe, where do you get that Christian played most of the drums on this project? John Lawry himself, who recorded the project said Christian played only small percussion. Maracas, congas, bongos, cymbals, rain sticks and the like, not drums.

Re: CPR

Dan, Louie did play on BTTR 2. Ronny told me it's all live except some overdubs and that Louie recorded all the drum parts. Where do you get that info that he did not play?

Re: CPR

Got my digital copy one hour after John posted the link without any problems. My phone is a Galaxy S5 and downloaded and extracted the zip files easily without extra apps. Enjoying the music in my car all day. The only thing I wish they did was record versions of Stand Up and Without Him We Can Do N...

Re: CPR

The more I listen to the samples the more I like them. I am actually getting excited about this project. It is definitely produced with a different flavor compared to BTTR 1, but still very cool. I also will miss Mark but am excited to see Ronny involved in a Petra related project after so many year...

Re: CPR

Cool. So too much snapping can sound Robotic, right? I feel a difference in the drum sounds in the record compared to BTTR 1. For instance the snare drum sounds are very different from track to track, you can see this if you compare this new Dream On version which sounds tracked with triggers and ve...

Re: CPR

Hey Brent. Do you think those are real drums on this album or programmed computerized drums like during the Elefante years? I know that the first classic Petra album was real drums by Louie because I saw the pictures they posted of him recording back then with his full drum kit miked and everything.
