Did anyone see ABC's World News Tonight on Friday (the 17th)? They had a section on the history of cell phones, noting all the things they can do now, including download music. They had a second or two riff that I almost swear has got to be from "It's All about Who You Know". Anyone else agree?

Ok, so I had been noticing that this server was often slow lately, due to postgresql activity. Just investigated, and it turned out that there wasn't an index on the id column topics table, and queries on that were taking forever. Just added it, and now that same query is going *much* faster. Wonder...

Rats. It's encoded in SQL-ASCII on the old server and in UTF8 on the new one. Now that we have old and new posts mixed in here I can't conceive of a way to fix it without deleting all posts since the migration. And you probably don't want that ... Sorry!
