The chorus of The Gambler. Ha.
That or the chorus from Coward of the County. Two Kenny Rogers tunes, and I bet he has many more if you stop and analyse.

Re: Strange Nostalgia

Diehard, I was able to become a fan of Petra just after the release of BB. SHortly after my brother came back from his first semester of college I listened to the title track and could not get enough of the band. On FIre was the next album I would get. At some point I came across the early albums an...

Re: Crystavox

Diehard- you are truly a force of nostalgia! You are discovering and asking things as if it was the 1990's again :) I really enjoy the comments and insight coming from a young person as they discover the era of 80's and 90's christian rock. That being said I can remember the day I purchased the Crys...

Re: Which CCR Musician would you meet?

John Fogerty. Sorry, but when you type CCR it will always mean Creedence to me. As for Classic Christian Rock there is no I can think of that I would like to meet...maybe Lisa Faxen.

Re: Union of Sinners and Saints tour

Jesus Freak is a DC Talk song. Larry Norman did a cover of it after DCT had done a cover of Norman's " I Wish We'd All Been Ready." Before Jesus Freak DCT was more of a hip hop/boy band, and in my opinion they were downright lousy. It was embarrassing to pop in a cassette and hear a song like "Spinn...

Re: Union of Sinners and Saints tour

Die Hard- if you are asking about the facebook link then the first song is Flood by Jars of Clay. It was a big hit in the mid 90's. Huge- it was played all over mainstream radio, used in movies, etc. The last song is Jesus Freak, which was a hit for DC Talk. Kevin Max was part of that group. Toby Ma...

Re: Union of Sinners and Saints tour

Dad sounds way overprotective. I've been to dozens of concerts and only remember one injury (O.C.Supertones) and that includes all types of music. Of course, if you are 10 then I can understand your father's stance.

Re: Angelica-different singers for each album?? I'm so confused

They’re one of my favorite bands. You will be disappointed in me, I seriously went and custom made a pillow case with that album cover on it    I absolutely love them and am convinced I’m their biggest fan, because even the ppl who like them still seem to have a complaint, but I cann...

Re: Angelica-different singers for each album?? I'm so confused

I recall purchasing Angelica back in my high school days. I was desperate for some heavy music and I was convinced that listening to secular bands would send me to hell. I remember the Family Bookstore ad in the Houston Chronicle had some new albums featured. Let's see here, Angelica, sounds a bit l...

Re: New John Schlitt Single

So, uh, crazy question. How does something like this get produced, come out on the web, and be on youtube for two weeks, when we're sitting here on a retired band's fan page, 13 years after they retire, starving for tunes, and no one knows about it? LOL. I'm betting even now we're not supposed to k...

Re: CPR

I'm happy to listen to the remakes, although some new music would be nice provided it was legit, rock and roll. Part of me thinks that GXV isn't much of a rocker these days. His solo music and the Back to the Rock song are loosely based on rock- heck he managed to unrockify Dream on!
