Re: CCM INDUSTRY IS A FRAUD.

Wow. While there is truth in there, I'll take issue with the notion of Christian radio catering to "Becky". That's painting with too broad of a brush. I listen to K-Love and other stations in the car, and I hear songs about the cross, the empty grave, grace, songs emploring people to be the hands an...

Re: What music have you been listening to lately?

I like Crowder. I too say the Winter Jam tour. But, my gosh, that thing was way too long. When I saw them bringing out the Cracker Barrel set, I thought how the heck are they going to get that assembled and get Crowder out there. Then they announced an intermission. I about wanted to hang myself.

Re: New Bride or Guardian anyone?

I liked some of the early Bride. It was really high pitched, and tough to find the Christian meaning in some of it, but I found it strangely enjoyable. Some of the stuff from Snakes was very good. Guardian is the bomb. I still the original album. It's a classic, and very influential for me. I enjoye...

Rubio as Oz, Trump as Robert, and Bernie as Tim. Funny stuff.

Re: What music have you been listening to lately?

Last week I listened to the latest Newsboys album, Love Riot. It's ok I guess, but I definitely feel that it could have been done better. Another let down was, unless I'm mistaken, that they didn't do any of the studio work except for the vocals, and they didn't write or co-write any of the songs. ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Election

Yup, nowhere does it say a person must be in a particular sect of Christianity to be the leader. You do have to be natural born, however. Also, neither of the two primary parties has a monopoly on religion. True. But, a wannabe leader ought not to claim to be a Christian during a campaign when they...

Re: The Union of Sinners & Saints

Way different than I was expecting. I thought it hokey at first, but once they got to the instrumental bridge, it grew on me. Pretty solid stuff by the end.

Re: Is this for real?

Interesting. Nice to see Anthony Sallee in there. I'd like to see Riqckue show up for this. Nothing against John, but it sure will be different is he's singing Whiteheart tunes. I'd like to know what happened that caused the Whiteheart tour and new album to fall through. Maybe someday that will work...

Re: TOP 5- BOTTOM 5 PETRA ALBUMS

1. Unseen Power 1. Wake Up Call 3. On Fire 4. More Power To Ya 4. Jekyll & Hyde Honorable Mentions: This Means War and Beyond Belief UP and WUC are tied as my top faves. On Fire comes in at #3 because I would choose to listen to that album over MPTY. MPTY lands in the 4 slot because most of the earl...

Re: Adonai

Several of the songs, by objective musical criteria, are as heavy as they come. The production by Brown Bannister is up there with some of his finest masterpieces. I haven't heard anything he's done that I didn't think was great. For all the love Louie gets around here, and the dismay over him being...

Re: Adonai

I would say it is inarguable that WUC is one of Petra's best produced albums. Whether one likes them or not, the songs are still great. I put WUC and UP as my top two albums. I loved pretty much anything the E-brothers did. Petra, Guardian, BC, Mastedon, John's solo stuff. It's all good. I lov...

Yeah, he had some good stuff. I played in a CCM cover band for awhile and we were working on this one. I don't recall if it ever made the live show. It's kind of trippy.

Re: Carmen health problems, heart attacks this time

Well, Carman always was a showman. If there was a Christian casino in Vegas, he would have been the headliner. Even in Vegas I think that you have to have some average songs. Carman never was able to record one... he is terrible. Branson might be a better fit. Either way, you build it, they will co...

Re: Great Find

Right on! With all the thrift stores out there, there is so much vinyl to be had. Someone with a little knowledge and a lot of time could find plenty that is valuable. I've not attacked a stack of vinyl, but anytime I hit a yard sale or thrift store, I go through their other music and media looking ...
