Re: Petra 33's and other Hartman guitars

It seems Bob still makes new guitars now and then so it might be worth contacting him by mail (findt it here: http://bobhartmanguitars.com/) and ask if he would be willing to build one for your purpose. It would not be the 33 (I guess). But if it was made for this purpose, it would have quite a hist...

Re: Well, this isn't good

I think it is certainly time to get past the point where wrongs are justified or excused with other wrongs. This has been lowering the voice of truth when it was so much needed.

Re: Well, this isn't good

Voting for a known loser doesn't do anyone any good, especially if the votes are private information. It's like throwing your vote away. It can actually do more harm than good making yourself feel better. It's sad, but it is true. For a long time, my vote was a vote for none-of-the-above. But, ther...

Re: Well, this isn't good

He may be friendly to Christians on an institutional level, however I think it would be hard to damage Christian testimony any better than he managed to do by making quite many Christians beclown themselves in all sorts of twist and turns to justify their support for him when he lies, talks bad abou...

Re: Well, this isn't good

But I continue to harbor a great belief that too many Christians are using Trump as a political savior for a spiritual problem both in their own lives and in the life of this country. Trump cannot stop the culture from turning against the faith and, if anything, more and more data shows Trump is a ...

Re: Well, this isn't good

Holy crap this country is all kinds of messed up. It certainly is. And I fear that on way too many areas the standard has been lowered to the point where it is going to be really hard to get back on track again. In quite many cases those who were supposed to stand up for what is truth and right hav...

Bob selling guitars from his personal collection

I thought some of the guitar players in here might find it interesting that Bob has quite a few guitars from his personal collection up for sale: http://www.houseofbob.com/garagesale.html When I saw it I was a bit troubled by the fact that i already own a Les Paul because then it is hard to justify ...

Re: New Petra Project

Hi John

Did you ever attend a Petra concert after you left the band and if so what did you think and how did it feel?

Re: Guitarist Discussion

Now that we have mainly focused on those who are overrated, perhaps we should focus on those who are underrated? Not that he is completely unknown at all and has not been given any credits I would still point to Joe Bonamassa as a guitar player I would say is underrated to some extent. With very few...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

However, if you have not heard a solo with more than four notes, you have either not listened a lot or not listened very carefully. Start at 1:10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCj0FRoc2Uk I was being somewhat tongue in cheek. I know that a lot of what he does is more complex than it sounds, but ...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

Keaggy ... His style however does not really work for me but that is a personal thing. What style? Keaggy's music is extremely diverse. It's one of the reasons he's never been a mainstay on any record label, because he would make a straight ahead rock n' roll album followed by an acoustic instrumen...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

Another great Angus quote when asked what it was like to be one of the best guitarists in the world: "I'm not even the best guitarist in AC/DC." I would agree with him on that. I really like his playing and while admitting that it is a lot harder to play his stuff than you would initially think in ...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

I agree with you. Especially about Knopfler. Keaggy is a great guitar player. His style however does not really work for me but that is a personal thing.
