Re: I got the Farewell CD!!!!!!

BTW the former member not listed was David Lichens. Didn't he really piss John Schlitt off at one point? I remember reading something about Lichens having a big chip on his shoulder, thinking he was going to change the music of Petra, essentially become the leader of "the new Petra", or something l...

Re: bobs solo

Does anybody know how Bob did his solo from CITAS. I think he was picking. Id love to pick like that but it never sounds right any suggestions please. I'm not sure what you mean by "picking". Yeah, he had a pick in his hand, but that's not the same as picking. You also have to remember that Bob is ...

I bought this album about 15 years ago for $.99 (that's cents !) out of a bargain bin at Target. I only got to listen to it a few times before my dad's record player broke, and then I was off to college, and life sort of took over and I never did get back home to retrieve it. I think my parents even...

No Doubt has some solid rock tunes on it. There are a couple of clunkers on it, but it's certainly not as bad as many people make it out to be. I can honestly say there is not a single Petra album that I don't like. Some I might like more than others, but I wouldn't ever say I hate any of them. And...

Re: This is so frustrating!!!!

he problem I have that is that all I get in the mail on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is grocery ads and sale papers. I don't understand your problem. What does your volume of junk mail have to do with whether or not you get Farewell on time? Is your post office under instructions to only deliver sales l...

I wouldn't count on it. If Petra had sufficient popularity to move albums then they wouldn't be releasing a farewell CD. I think the departure of Bob Hartman as a full-time member was a blow that Petra unfortunately never recovered from.

I'm guessing that sales were probably relatively good considering where Petra was in their career, but obviously it didn't sell well enough for them to commit to another studio project or two (Farewell notwithstanding).

I like Revival for the most part, but I agree that it is rather over engineered. I hate that Bob's guitar is buried in the mix, even during the solos, and John's vocals occasionally get lost as well. I'm glad that the final two albums ( Jeckyll & Hyde and Farewell ) bring those elements up front and...

walmart.com ALSO says it is enhanced. Have we exhausted that theory, or is it still a possibility?? Several InPop reps have said that it is definitely not an enhanced CD. There was talk of it early on, but the turn-around time was too short for the project, so I imagine websites like Amazon and Wal...

That's their best logo. I was disappointed when it stopped showing up shortly after Beat the System.

Look for a great DVD with lots of bonus features in early 2006.
I'm looking forward to it. Circumstances have made it so that I won't be able to catch Petra live, but this will be the next best thing!
