Wasn’t there a video somewhere where he was smoking a pipe? I’m sure I saw that but I can’t remember where.
I do remember a video were it looked like he was holding a pipe. I think it might have been the Back to the Street behind the scenes or something.

Re: SALT by John DeGroff

Pretty cool that some artists still make the music that they like, not just whatever they think will be popular. John Schlitt+ John degroff is awesome.

I'd put the first 3 songs of On Fire! Up against the first 3 of any Petra album.
They were all very good hard rocking songs. On Fire! also had some nice guitar solos, like in Hit You Where You Live.

Re: Best Petra Album of the 80's

"Best" can mean different things. Here is my dilemma. I listened to Petra BEFORE they broke and at the time when Christian rock was blossoming. So, the best for me will mean game changing/we have not had this before/no album could ever make this big of an impact again. For me, it's More Power To Ya...

Re: Acoustic Classical Hartman - new CD

Merry Christmas, everyone! So now I've finally had a chance to give this a listen, and it is excellent, a perfect fusion of classical and electric guitar, and it supports my opinion that Bob Hartman is one of the most underrated guitarists and musicians in the industry. The fact that he's able to k...

Re: Favorite Petra-Related Album Following Petra's Retirement?

Don't forget God Only Knows. And The Christmas Project. 8) I think we're all trying to forget about Greg's God Only Knows album. Hopefully that album isn't a reflection of the direction that CPR's sound will take when it comes time to head back into the studio. I found that album quite unremarkable...

Re: Favorite Petra-Related Album Following Petra's Retirement?

I did like Back to the Rock the best, but TGC, was awesome too. So was The Union of Sinners and Saints. PDC had some awesome lead guitar, and riffs.
