Re: CPR
Wow! I lost my dad (at 54) to pancreatic cancer. It's a killer. Sounds like Johnny dodged a bullet!

Re: CPR
What I find really "interesting" is that when CPR was announced, they said it wasn't Petra, it wasn't Classic Petra - it was CPR. But now, I'm seeing the band being referred to as "Classic Petra Revisited" or "Classic Petra Returns" in a number of places, including Creation NE. https://creationfest...

Re: CPR
Finally... these songs without Bob Hartman playing and JDB producing just don’t have the impact. It’s like Gus Van Zant’s Psycho remake. Did an alternative universe just open up where a Petra fan besides myself can articulate the lacking differences between Gus Van Zant's remake of Psycho and the 1...

Unfortunately this is what a Petra sans Bob Hartman looks like.

Re: CPR
I am sorry to see Ronny go. In all seriousness, I would like to see Mike Brandenstein (whom I saw play bass with Petra circa REVIVAL in Michigan) or Greg Bailey take Ronny's place. Greg Bailey really would be the next logical choice as he knows all the songs and has been a "member" of the band long...

Re: CPR
http://www.thepetrazone.net/download/file.php?id=515 Louie didn't play on BTTR II... guess his schedule was full. Poor Louie. He just can't catch a break. Probably one of the best known drummers in Christian music, but he's on hardly any albums. Maybe far more profitable to be driving than commit t...

Dream On
GXV clearly takes a few creative liberties with the original Aerosmith lyrics, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what he's saying in the first verse in place of the line, "It went by..." Original Aerosmith lyrics" Verse 1 Every time when I look in the mirror All these lines on my face gett...

Re: CPR
And then the cheesy band name abbreviation that can stand for everything and because of that in the end doesn't stand for anything. Come on, a logo for a band called CPR in the shape of a heart? Really? It reminds me of what Van Halen fans must have had to endure back in 2008 with the newly created...

Re: CPR
So as a graphic designer, it pains me to see the new CPR album cover. Petra has a long legacy of painstakingly awesome album covers, and while I do not claim to hold a candle to the time & effort others have taken in producing said covers, I think the proverbial boat was missed with CPR's album cove...

Re: Louie BTTS
I always find it humorous when fans say that Louie is the greatest drummer alive. One can listen to Paul Simmons' work on Farewell to quickly distinguish the difference between the two styles.
