Re: Louie BTTS

Hello again, I think in Brent's response, he may have meant to say Louie didn't play on NSD and NOTW (both of those albums are credited to Keith Edwards), According to JDB, Louie hadn't joined yet for NSD, so Keith E. was used. Louie did play on MPTY but it didn't go well, so on NOTW JDB had Keith c...

Re: Louie BTTS

I don't mean to come off rude...I HAVE read all the archived stuff...all of it...on the post / thread titled "I know we've been over this before but..." 4/30/04 (check it yourself) Brent said that Louie and John Lawry told him the only record with NO real drums at all was PPTRCO, that John L. did it...

Re: Louie BTTS

Thanks for the reply, but Louie did not play on "The Rock cries out"...hence, my asking about BTTS...there is a dearth of mis-information.....

Louie BTTS

Hey people, I know this is an old subject, I'm kind of new here...I went thru the archives on all related topics... did Louie play on BTTS? I know he played on MPTY, and then some post Elefante recordings, but I've never heard anything about BTTS. As a drummer, I think I hear similarities between BT...

Re: CPR

Don't we have documentation somewhere that at some point in the mid to late 90's Bob H. said that he actually turned over control of the day-to-day running of the band to John Schlitt? I thought I had read that somewhere....I could be wrong....anyone else remember something similar? Also, I first he...

Re: Bob H. on "Making of BTTS" DVD

If I was getting a commission I guess I would be the one to post the screen shot....I'm not going to. I am a 100% die hard Petra fan, all the way back to 1987 when I first heard them....I happened to notice something on the 'making" DVD, and wondered if anyone else saw it....that's all....didn't thi...

Re: CPR

I agree with Brent 100%....I Think by 1996 it was The John Schlitt Band. I think they should have ended with Unseen Power, go out on a high note...As good as some think Wake Up Call was, the band had definitely "turned a corner".... Definitely looking forward to CPR, I loved Classic Petra's Back to ...

Re: CPR

Where's Mark Kelly? ( I actually remember asking that same question in '88 when I picked up my brand new copy of "On Fire") I personally prefer Mark's bass style to Ronny's (just personal taste, no offense to Ronny)

Bob H. on "Making of BTTS" DVD

Hey, this may seem like a weird question, but do I see Bob Hartman smoking a pipe on the "Making of BTTS" DVD? I kind of think it would be awesome if that were the case, me being a C.S. Lewis nut, but I just wonder if anyone else out there has caught that same glimpse....maybe this has already been ...

Re: For John Slick

Wow, I would have thought it was the other way around, only instead of John Schlitt doing the multi-track BGV's it was John E. On the E Bros. recordings, his voice in the bgv's is about all I can hear! Listen to anything from Vinyl Confessions or Drastic Measures, the bgv's sound exactly the same......

Re: For John Slick

What I was really wanting to know was, when we hear backing vocals are we hearing 3-4 guys, or Greg being multi-tracked? I know Mark sang lead for half of "Disciple", but I wonder about the rest...I have always thought the backing vocals on NSD, MPTY and NOTW were very strong, not like the hyper pro...

For John Slick

Hey John, if you're still out there, can you give us any insight to the procedure for recording the Petra backing vocals? Thanks Mr. Slick for taking the time, we really appreciate it!
