Re: Back to The Street recording dates

It's wonderful, just wonderful. Just great. Great. We are the best, just wonderful, some of the best people playing. There really isn't anyone better. We are just wonderful people. Our music is the best in the world. It's THE best. Nobbody plays music better than us. And the audience was the larges...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

With AC/DC it is different. They are easily recognizable because they always sound almost the same. As Angus Young once joked, "AC/DC only ever made one album. We just released it a dozen different times." Or when an interviewer claimed AC/DC had made X number of records that sounded exactly the sa...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

I play softer than AC/DC but I agree with your description of them. I prefer single coils and they react a bit different. I also agree with your description of Gilmour, but he is also able to get along with a rather cleanish sound and create the most beautiful tones. Always recognizable though his s...

Re: Back to The Street recording dates

Then there is:

Armed and dangerous

However that name would be more fitting for the guys in Stryper on some of their first records.

Chameleon ... because you never know who's going to be in the band
Along those lines, you could go for Jekyll and Hyde.

It would hardly work, though, since all the past members are so peaceful.

Re: Back to The Street recording dates

I see your point. However, these guys aren't young and it would take quite some time to establish a new name. And I still believe most of their fans would be there because of the history. I could be wrong though.

Re: Back to The Street recording dates

I like the idea that they would not call themselves Petra in one form or another if Bob was not involved. We have seen enough of those "Petras" before. However, I wonder why they went for the CPR name. It is a given, before they even start, that this is never going to be a big name because it is rel...

Re: Bob Hartman Jekyll Hyde guitar

Does anyone know if Bob still has a Jekyll and Hyde guitar himself? Back in 2018 trodLAN wrote about a concert in Sweden: "The guitars Bob was using were borrowed from Norway and Sweden. The Jekyll & Hyde guitar was Bobs original guitar used at the farewell tour, and sold to a guy at Flekkeroy, Norw...

Re: Back to The Street recording dates

Maybe CPR could take a crack at it! I very much doubt they are going to do it, but it would be interesting. I guess, however, that I am finding myself among a minority in this case and that there would be much more interest in them doing other stuff. However it would somehow strengthen the message,...

Re: Guitarist Discussion

I use very few effects these days. A lot of the time I play clean with a Vox ac30 type of sound. When I use overdrive I go for pedals that recreate the sound of some of the classic old amps (fender, marshall and the like). I really like the point where the overdrive is there but you still have to wo...

Re: Back to The Street recording dates

It's been a very long time since I last heard Back to The Street. I really like it and clearly remember the songs but as a whole the recording is not really working for me. Though it is probably never going to happen, it would be really interesting to hear a re-recording of this album in which the g...

It's a great guitar for the price, only $400 Canadian new. Quite beautiful and it is functional and although it is definitely not a premium guitar it's still very pleasant to play.
These days some guitars don't cost a lot though they are very, very good.
