Re: Petra Question

I've got "Never Say Die" "Not of this World" and "More Power to Ya" all on vinyl with the inserts and signed by Bob Hartman. I would be interested in parting with them.......

Anybody?????????

Re: Farewell line-up reunion

Shell,it just is. I love you too. I don't like what I've heard, or know about Louie being let go. Period. Just don't think it was the right thing to do. It came up, so I made my opinion known again. Not arguing with anyone. It's my point of view that makes me feel the way do. and PS. Drummers aren't...

Re: Farewell line-up reunion

Yes, it would be strange. The Farewell line-up is John, Bob, Greg and Paul. Now, since Paul is not available anymore, it makes more sense to me to hire a new guy (Cristian) than to (hypothetically speaking) hire Louie again. This is simply not Louie's era anymore. To me Greg B. and Paul have been a...

Re: Farewell line-up reunion

It would be strange to have a Farewell-reunion with Louie Uh, No. It would never be strange to have Louie Weaver playing drums for Petra. He IS Petra's Drummer above everyone else. Period. No offence to anyone who's played with them. I played guitar with John. Wasn't strange for Bob to play again, ...

Re: anyone get their Classic Petra shirt in?

About time for bands to realize the people who buy t-shirts aren't all skinny for Pete's sake. They would sell a whole lot more 2x's. FACT

THE ROCK SHOW - What's up with all the Vampires?

On TV, in movies, books, toys...... VAMPIRES ARE EVERYWHERE!!! ooooooooohhhhhhhh!! It's been a long time since Dracula first frightened kids and adults on the silver screen, but Vampires and their stories have survived to take over just about every entertainment medium that currently exists. Why are...

Re: John on Guitar

It was just on that tour for just that song... it needed a little 'extra' so John jumped in I always found that reason strange given that half of everything was prerecorded back then anyway. Like vocals, extra guitars already. Hmmm. I remember when John came out and him, Bob, and Ronny, did this li...

Re: Voice and Interpretation

I know it must be hard for john to go from what petra was to how things are now. I just don't see that it has to be all or nothing. Many former hit musicians have to scale back as careers change. It doesn't mean he has to stop doing music. He just has to change his focus. More intimate smaller venue...

Re: Voice and Interpretation

Selling hundreds of CDs is great. Many people would like to say that. But you have to think about John's position and mindset. He was in the greatest Christian rock band of all time. He has high production standards. He knows what he is worth. He has to live. Nobody can live on sales of a couple th...

Re: Voice and Interpretation

I agree and disagree with you Brent. I agree he is indie. But he doesn't have to shell out thousands of dollars to make a CD. People are out there everyday recording at home and making CD's independent of a label. And everyone who complains about labels does not do so because they can't get signed. ...

Re: Voice and Interpretation

See this is where john should just go indie. He has a studio. He could record a decent album independantly that would sound good and he has enough of a fan base that he could make actual money that way. You don't have to have record deal. His albums were barely in stores anyway if you could find the...
