Re: PDC

Wow. You have indeed been around in the music industry. It is quite interesting to be able to get your opinion on things related to it here on the zone.

Re: PDC

Yes, I like how boston layers multiple guitars on one another, quite complicated melody/harmonies. Their singer was very good also. I didn't like Rez very much until the mid/late 80's, afterwards I did. I understand you were involved in the music industry, and that you are a member of PDC, but how e...

Re: PDC

I listen to a variety of music. I like nearly every kind of classic rock/metal, soft rock, folk rock, hard rock, melodic, blues rock, progressive, etc. I am not a big fan of modern rock however. I also like some folk, blues and pop. Some band's I am interested in: Petra Resurrection Band Guardian Ke...

PDC

Will PDC ever relese a new album? The first two were interesting, not much progressive christian rock/metal out there. Even though they weren't quite my style, they were pretty cool, and had some nice riffs and technical lead guitar.

Re: Favourite Petra Album of the Seventies

Come and Join us got my vote. Although I don't like Petra's 70's stuff that much I think C&JU had some very nice guitar parts, especially lead. Some of it was more experimental too. Petra (1974) was I think too country/southern rock, and I don't like Washes Whiter Than, too popish.

Which Distortion Pedal to Buy?

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get a classic 80's hard rock/ heavy metal tone, such as in Hit You Where You Live or Mine Field? Should I buy a pedal? If so, any recommendations? Would the Boss Metal Zone Mt 2 or the Boss Ds 2 be any good? Thanks.

I am surprised there are no votes for Jekyll & Hyde. I thought people loved that album.

Re: Favourite Petra Album 1990-2003

By BB Tour, I think they pretty much dropped those songs off the set-list, bust I I could be corrected. I wonder why? There's some good songs on that album. "You Are I Am" would have fit perfectly in the rock medley. There were a few good songs, but I think the album was way too keyboard dominated....

Re: Favourite Petra Album 1990-2003

God Fixation was ok, but I think it's main problem was that it didn't rock hard enough. Wake Up call had a few good songs (Midnight Oil, Underneath the Blood, Good News, Just Reach Out), but I don't think it was as good as UP and BB. Also I think it wasn't quite as hard a rocker as UP and BB.

This is an odd grouping, perhaps you should have done 90-99. It's not fair to pit JH against Petra prime... Petra Prime, sounds like another best of album?
Then Beyond Belief wouldn't have any competition 😁
