Interesting about Mylon. Preachers at his shows say that they saw demonic beings flying around on stage when the lights and fog machines were on. One of them wrote about Christian rock and made Mylon the poster child for what was wrong with it. I think they had to much legalism flavored Kool Aid. O...

Pats vs. Cowboys

Well, I have to admit it... it was a pretty good game, but the Patriots definitely outplayed the Cowboys. I think the final score makes it look more uneven than it actually was, but New England clearly played better football.

And the Packers won their game vs. the 'Skins. Thus, I eat my words. hehe

Pack = beat

Hmm... seems like the Packers got beat by Chicago this weekend. The Cowboys beat Chicago two weeks ago. And the Cowboys remain undefeated.

As do the Patriots, as I am well aware. I think it's a safe bet which game will be closely watched next Sunday afternoon! Dallas vs. new England!

Yeah, but WHO were they playing against? Crummy teams? Let's see... I know it was preseason and all, but the first thing Dallas did this year was wipe the floor with the Super Bowl champions 23-10. And the week before last they beat the Chicago Bears 34-10. So that means that already this year Dall...

And let me add something else... trodLAN, you did a GREAT job of incorporating the existing code snippets in the new pages. I was very impressed with the minimal amount of help you needed. Most people who are not programmers seem to need a lot of hand-holding with that sort of thing, but you pulled ...

Nawahlins

It's like people think that if you live in Louisiana, you say "Nawahlins." I was born in New Orleans to a woman who grew up there, and I have NEVER heard anyone who was actually from there say "Nawahlins" or ESPECIALLY not "New Orleens" (like "beans"). It's "New Oar-Lins."

php

GUYS, WHY U DONT USE CSS, AJAX AND PHP FOR THIS PROJECT? There is nothing on these new pages that req. php-code. It was made in html to fit the mySQL db that it connects to. To clarify something... the site DOES use php in several places to enable back-end stuff like adding new concerts to the c...

Maecy

The song would make a terrific theme song for some group... maybe Nat'l Right to Life? That's the group that came to my mind immediately, moreso than an adoption agency group. Hmmm... anyone here have any connections or work with Right to Life? What about Mercy Ministries? http://www.mercyministrie...

Packers, Schmackers. This season the Dallas Cowboys have scored more points this season that any other team in the NFL. So there!

You Can Be Bought

The actual title of the song is "The Betrayal" and it has an interesting history. It can be had on eBay on CD, by the way. If you would like to host an MP3 of it ripped from the CD, email me. "Toymaker's Dream" was a stage play based on a street drama called "Toymaker & Son"... read all about it her...

Michael J

(Not me, BTW):

http://www.michaeljmusic.com/

I can't find anything about him or his former band "Exploding Boy" on Wikipedia. You can Google for "Exploding Boy" but mostly what you find is stuff about a Swedish band by the same name.

miscarriage

We had that happen to us several times... I believe it was three times in a row. In our case, our understanding is that probably it was something called a " blighted ovum " which means that there was only a sac but possibly never any baby at all (the Wikipedia article implies that it is always cause...

"Our Turn Now" video location

If you're curious about the location for Carman/Petra's video "Our Turn Now," here's a link for you: http://www.kotv.com/news/local/story/?id=135736 Short version: the school is still in use, and students were peacefully protesting a new rule that they have to tuck their shirts in so it's easier to ...
