If you don't know if it's true or not, why are you repeating it? That makes it gossip.
Yes, someone did post a message on my board saying they once read the same rumor you are talking about. But they also said they had never "seen it in print" ... in other words, they didn't know if it was true or not, either.
This stuff is painful, guys. Rumors like these pass around quickly, and they hurt people. Let's break the cycle.

Just the kind of thing I've said a number of times...
It's one thing to have a discussion, and there's a place to speak up for what's right, but when we start getting into what goes on or went on in someone's marriage, we're crossing the line into stuff we don't belong in. Especially since it happened so long ago, this was the mid 90s folks. Let's not make them into tabloid material, there's already enough of that.

As Little River Bands song once said:

I am totally lost. This thread is entitled "Dove Awards and Jim Cooper." But the content is a collection of cryptic references to ... who knows?!
I guess I'm just out of the loop, so never mind!

There is a rumor as to why Cooper left Petra. Josh is right... none of us was there (that I know of), so it's probably best not to repeat it.
