Petrazone v2 testing

Post by Dan » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:24 am

As much as I didn't want a new Petra zone, ppl are complaining about not being able to signup.. as you may have noticed the zone is the same people talking all the time. In discussions with Sue I have setup a test at this url:

http://petra.kapcom.us/

Feed back please! you will need to sign up again...

If it's necessary to allow new people to join the zone, let's move then! The only problem might be that some of us grab the opportunity and register under a new user name. Then I'll really be getting confused...

We would then, by the way, be losing all the previous messages? No way to import them into v2?

I can't believe that the big "what if" post didn't make it over, what a shame.

So, is the old board going to be shut down, or are people going to keep posting there?

Well Sue has the right to the name, she needs to point it when to here when she gets time, otherwise i would have switched it as soon as it was working so it was seamless.

Okay, I got a new password so I could log on and I'm trying to change it and I'm getting a message saying "current password incorrect". It's not vital that I change it but I would like to. Any suggestions? I am pretty sure I typed it in correctly but I will double check.

I just had a go at changing my own password, it worked.. you might be only able to change your password once per day.. will check Shell.

It seems like the member list from the old zone has also been imported. Shouldn't we do some cleaning up there? There are over 5,000 members listed there. Aren't there lots of spambot registrations in the list?

The original list of users was 20,000+ I have already removed 15,000 spambot users.

I'm back now (going thru major culture shock, trying to get back into work mode), so if we want to switch over and make the DNS change, I'm ready to do it!

Dan, just ship me the numbers and I'll get it done soon.
