Yes, the First 35 Seconds... Of what?...
Oh the song : Angel Of Light.
That's a powerful intro for one of the all-time best songs of Petra. If that intro is an indication of another (well, I hope) Petra Album... we will have Jekyll and Hyde Part 2...
PETRA MEANS ROCK!!!

Guitars remind me of Wake-up call intro, Midnight oil.

Wake-Up Call was an awesome album, one of my favorites of all time. This is album is turning out to be pretty good in it's own right.

I've been trying to decide if he is using an octave pedal to get that low roaring sound. It sounds awesome regardless. I just wish the lead guitar solos were a little more out front. That's my only disappointment about this album. I guess I'm just to 80's hair metal.

Bob's guitar sounds a lot cleaner than it did on J&H

I like it dirty and raw like on JAH.

True! He must have finally found the tone he was looking for, because every song on the album has the same guitar sound. I like to switch up distortions and amps a lot for different songs. Bob's just like " I like this!! Hit record!!" and it sounds awesome. I wish I was more like Bob.
