I did not post this on March 1st because I thought I would give it a couple days.

Question 1: Where are the US tour dates for Classic Petra? (I'm talking about the approx. 40 US dates)

Question 2: When is Nashville taping airing on TBN or JCTV or any other network?

Question 3: When is TV Special DVD being released?

Question 4: Is anyone going to go to C-Stone this year and if so will you record E Band and/or Petra

Question 5: Does Mark Kelly still have those Super Cool Silver Moon Boots from CITAS/CIT&S if so will he wear them on upcoming tour? I only ask because I think Napoleon Dynamite may have stolen them or ones closing resembling them.

I emailed Michael to ask him your questions and this is what he said:

When the record got moved back last year, it was a chain reaction with everything else getting delayed a couple of months. We as a band are learning once again “good things come to those who wait”

Question 1: Where are the US tour dates for Classic Petra? (I'm talking about the approx. 40 US dates)
*dates our contingent on promoter interest, we are starting to confirm a few dates for the US now, but the invitations currently are from Australia, Europe, UK, South America, and South Africa.

Question 2: When is Nashville taping airing on TBN or JCTV or any other network?
*The first and 2nd week in April

Question 3: When is TV Special DVD being released?
*probably around the 2nd week in April

Question 4: Is anyone going to go to C-Stone this year and if so will you record E Band and/or Petra *the band is planning a meet & greet every night when schedule permits after the shows, will post times as shows get closer.
*To be put on guest list, we will have a sign up sheet like we had for TBN, we just need names and concert they are interested in.

Apparently they are all huge liars. OR, plans changed and they are having a hard time finding people who can afford to bring them to US locations in a cost effective and logical manner. I still have hope that they will figure something out, and still want to do what I can to help them get to my town. But, I know I will have a new DVD soon... =)

I do not know a specific date, but according to John Lawry on the radio this morning (see my other post), they just finished audio work on the project, so it is still a work in progress. I look forward to getting a copy whenever it gets released.

Question 3: When is TV Special DVD being released?.

In my opinion, this does not matter much. It will be on a network many people cannot get. I wish that wasn't the case, but...it is. The release date does not matter to me for example because I can't see it when it does air. =(

Regarding all the doubt, I am finding it easiest to just wait and get the lovely gifts we have been getting when they come. I do not understand the energy spent looking for failures. for example, the Sony distribution deal happened, but there was a lot of chatter about it not happening before it finally did. I didn't care either way because there was a CD released, and I purchased a few copies of it for my family and friends. Does it say Sony on it? Nope, and I am glad it doesn't because I HOPE that means more money went to the band. =)

This is not the first time the thread author has asked these questions. I'm guessing that some folks feel like there is an "I told ya so." on the way.

I TOLD YOU SO!!!! Just kidding. No but seriously thanks for the updates. I was just checking in since it has been a month since any real updates about those questions especially concerning the Mark Kelly Moon Boots. I'm especially glad someone is checking into that issue. Glad to hear the airing in April and can't wait to get the DVD regardless if it was lyp-synched or not not or pre recorded.

I think the US dates will follow once everybody sees a succesfull World Tour minus the US, completed, and the result a buzz about the whole thing, with more pictures, live video and interviews that will come our way and to the media when the 16 dates that are planned are done. Also the all new material record will help.

Again, in the years of the Battle Plan news letter we had to wait 6 months to a year to get an update on the any new release if there was going to be one. Now we are spoiled by the internet age, were all info is available immediately, wether the party involved wants it out at this time or not. I think every release we are getting is happening at a reasonable rate, considering Petra had retired, and we are getting 3 CDs and a DVD, plus possible much more than we ever could hope for.

So chill out and the trust the Lord.

I think they should wise up and put reproductions of the Moon Boots for sale in the Classic Petra website, just like the Drum Sticks they have for sale!

Look guys, what people say they will buy and what they actually buy when the goods are finally put in front of them are often two different things, especially in this climate. Often times the concert promoter's musical tastes are not what the people want. So, don't bash management just yet.

I worked for a pastor that TBN was using to develop a national news show. TBN is seldom timely and on budget. There will be no activity for a while, and then all of a sudden the phone rings and bam, it's all done QUICKLY.

They probably did over hype things, but bands almost always have to create the buzz to get the interest that moves people to demand and buy product. It is kind of a necessary evil.

Please don't bash management at all...they are working very hard...I appreciate everything they are doing...Michael and Yvonne are wonderful people too. Please keep them in your prayers!
