Any suggestions?

Post by Timbo » Sat Apr 23, 2011 8:16 am

I have a II Guys from Petra DVD that is really good quality. I would like to rip an mp3 from a 4 minute section from it of John singing "Why should the Father bother". Does anybody have any suggestions as the best way or best software to be able to do this? It's not one big video file like a wmv or anything. It's an actually dvd type format. When I click on the folder, I see a bunch of vob, bup, and ifo files.

If I have the same DVD, I can do the job for you. I have the programs needed for this job.
I can give you a downloadable audio file if you let me know what DVD it is-I have quite a lot of II Guys DVD's.

That would be great! I would really appreciate that. It's the full show that the II guys promo was made from that is on John's web site. Not sure of the name or location of that show. All I'm looking for is a high quality 320kbps mp3 of "Why should the Father bother". The time on the dvd is from 18:35 to 22:25. If you can do this I would really appreciate it!

All the software you need is on the internet, and most is free

here is a guide, http://www.glump.net/howto/audio_only_dvd_ripping_guide

I use a program called Any video converter you can get a 15 day trial here http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video/

this program does any format you want with literally 3 clicks.

Do you mean this show:
II Guys from Petra
July 21, 2007
Calvary Chapel - Oceanside, California
Located here: http://www.johnwschlitt.com/fans/video2.htm

If it is this show, I don't have it complete...but maybe you can ftp the actual vob file to me?
If interrested, I can give you ftp access by mail: [email protected]

That would be the one. I don't know if I can upload it to your ftp. I can't even copy the vob files onto my computer. It errors out and says it can't read the source file. I guess I could try and drag them from the dvd to your ftp and see if that works. I'll email you.

Thanks Daniel, I will check into that. But like I said I can't even get the files onto my computer. I was able to get the intro vob copied over, but when I played it there was now sound. So I'm sure there is some audio file buried in there some where. I think it would be a lot easier if it was just a wmv or something simple.
