Could John just modify the goal to $30,000 instead?. That sounds like a good sum and compromise to make the record. It would be a shame that the project would be canceled just for a few grand.

You certainly did push the dollars, p-freak! Way to go! Only $5k left... with 2 weeks to go. We HAVE to get there!
If you've read John's last newsletter http://johnwschlitt.com/fans/newsletter.htm you'll see that $35K goal is actually only a portion of what he needs to do a really bang-up rocker.

While that may sound high - remember, there is much more to making a CD than the recording (and if you're a soloist without a band - each and every musician must be hired - and they don't come cheap!).

Fcollazo, once the project begins, you can't change the dollar amount, nor the length of the funding time.

$33,003. We are under $2,000. I admit I was skeptical this would work early on, but boy I am glad I was wrong.

The number of backers has been steadily increasing, which to be honest I didn't expect - I was afraid if we made it it would be through the 300 or so backers all increasing pledges bit by bit till we edged over the finish line.

Instead, the number of backers has been going up at a slow but even rate.

In fact, things are looking so good, I think I'm going to take my pledge down. Obviously they've got it covered now.

Just kidding.
