I just want Petra to record and play what Petra wants to do, this is totally a record company wanting it; this album always reminds me of No Doubt

I also like Send Revival title track as (one of) my fav. Petra praise songs, yet I also agree 100% with John backing John ad naseum.

I posted something similar on here when Revival first came out, and got somewhat blasted for it. I remember some saying, "they've done it before on other albums where John does BGVs." John's BGV's on the Revival Project seemed excessive.
That's why I was relieved when J&H came out and they had actual other background singers (including Jamie Rowe) instead of layers and layers of John.

But the annoying thing about Revival was that they kept the low register John vocals in the front and completely buried the wailing John vocals in the background. It's like a bad tease, hearing the rock potential left in the background.

The most frustrating song is We Want to See Jesus Lifted High. I keep getting the sense that it's building towards something as the song goes on and that eventually John and the boys will let 'er rip. But after 5+ minutes it still never happens. I'm frustrated just thinking about it while writing this.

It's funny how one person's "worst" songs can be another's favorites. For me, Godpleaser, in all its incarnations, is one that I LOVE. (I used the intro and part of the solo as the intro piece for some new MP3s I made from some sermons our church recorded in the '80s.)
