Re: Faith and Freedom
So Sekulow financed the video? That explains why he would be in it. If Romney is a stretch, which he is , then Sekulow is an out right tear.

Re: Faith and Freedom
I'm not going to talk about politics because I don't believe that is the real issue. The real issue to be answered is what are people doing to further the gospel? Someone do me a favor and let's talk about Hollywood for a moment, just for kicks:
Please name just one new/current tv show on a major television network (NBC,ABC,CBS,FOX) right now on prime time where Christ is exalted, being a Christian is normal, and wanting to be like Christ is something that folks look up to and to want to be like. I don't just mean one old guy in a cameo or a funeral service where someone everyone liked dies, I mean name just one show where a family is treated that way. Name a program where a family regularly goes to church and that is so important to the story that they can't leave it out of the show because that's what they make the hard decisions based on, the Bible. Continuing, this show contains moments where the gospel of Christ's life, death, sacrifice, and resurrection is presented, which is the most important part of all of this paragraph, and it is a part of even just one show a season. Easter and other holidays like Christmas don't count. Please prove me wrong. I would be so happy to be wrong about this but I can't even think of one. Like I said, please, prove me wrong.
Okay, following that, now name one major movie from a major studio released in the last five years that wasn't funded by a Christian source and looked at foolishly, where those characteristics from above also hold true.
Hoping to be wrong, Phillip

Re: Faith and Freedom
You do love to put words in my mouth don't you. I never said this of you. I said this is what I see in the left and wondered that you could seem to feel at home among such people. I've seen the worst of the behavior of some on the right and I agree it can be shameful at times, but it doesn't even come close to what I see on the left. The vitriol and hatred that spills out of them is enough to run chills down your spine.Again, it's inappropriate for you to accuse me of rejoicing at the suffering of others.

Let's get back on topic. John Schlitt released the Faith And Freedom video from his latest album.

You got to admit though the building gutiar work on the bridge sounds awesome.Matthew RJ wrote:Agreed. This is my least fav. John song, and the video made it even worse for me. I much prefer everything off the Grafting, Try Understanding His Heart from Shake, or even the stuff he did on that worship compilation project like The Battle Belongs to the Lord.rexreed wrote:Let's get back on topic. We are pilgrims in a strange land
We are so far from our homeland
With each passing day it seems so clear
This world will never want us here
We're not welcome in this world of wrong
We are foreigners who don't belong

Re: Faith and Freedom
I'm fully aware of what you are saying. But taken in context of what John said, it's also true. We also aren't to give up hope either. The apostles weren't martyred because they stayed in their little shacks and never stood up, now where they? Still waiting for that movie/show ...

Re: Faith and Freedom
While the song sounds very good musically, I'm very disappointed that John appears to be naive as to what's really going on. Billy Graham whom the video promotes is an apostate who supports the Catholic church, the Jesuit order and is a 33 degree mason. Both Bushes support the NWO and are members of the Bohemian Grove- a globalist organization who offers mock sacrifices to the owl god and other pagan practices. Romney is high up in the Mormon church. The Morman church believes that Romney may be the fulfillment of the white horse prophecy that Joseph Smith spoke about where they predict that the LDS church will take over America and create a Mormon theocracy. I'm really sadden that both Jay Sekulow and John Schlitt are believing in a distorted view of American history. The Democrats and Republicans are two wings of the same bird. Both will lead us to a one world gov't. I am sad that they appear to be drinking the republican kool-aid, but I won't be. I will not be voting for Romney or Obama that's for sure.

One is better than the other. Not voting is foolish.corolla1 wrote:I will not be voting for Romney or Obama that's for sure.
And, so what if we are headed to a one world government? I read about that in the Bible years ago, so I am not surprised. Why are you?

Re: Faith and Freedom
I have known for nearly 25 yrs that we are heading toward world gov't and I am quite informed about Bible Prophecy. Both parties are controlled by the globalist elites so a vote for either party is a vote for them. For the first time in my adult life, I'm not voting. I will not drink the Republican Kool-Aid anymore regardless of what the so-called Christian leaders tell us.

You really should get your idiotic facts straight and quit taking the internet as your source. The fact you call him an apostate means you do not know him, what he is about, or have studied his sermons.corolla1 wrote:While the song sounds very good musically, I'm very disappointed that John appears to be naive as to what's really going on. Good Grief! Who let Harold Camping on here? Talk about drinking the kool-aid.
Though I don't really have faith in Romney, Obama in his second term is far more dangerous than Romney in his first. If you think Obama was repulsive in his first term, wait 'til you see what he does when he no longer has to worry about keeping votes.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. - John Piper
Re: Faith and Freedom
Brent, I do have my "idiot facts" straight. Billy Graham has long supported the Catholic Church and the pope and that is well known if you do even the slightest research. John MacArthur has even spoken against him. I'm sure you wouldn't call him an idiot.
