That is crazy weird then.sue d. wrote:Trodland, you write better English than a lot of Americans I know! Thanks for a great review - and great photos! You too, Rickard; even if the sound isn't the greatest, it's still fun to watch.
Actually, no. The promoter purchased the CDs himself, and they were shipped shortly before the guys left. Not sure why he bought CP when he was having Petra.I bet since there was a buy in for the Classic Petra concert, the CDs were purchased and/or shipped before anyone knew there would be a change

Re: Petra farewell coming to scandinavia!!
Hi
I were at the concert in Denmark too... of course!
It was really great. I heard Petra Classic last summer and it was great to, but as I wasn't "petrafied" until "This means war" i think this was the real Petra... almost as good as the dream team
I will upload som pictures as soon as my computer is done converting the RAW's and I have chosen out some to upload. Right now I'm down to 530
It was a great concert. I think you age estimate is way too low. Most of the audience was 30+
Sadly they had not removed the chairs meaning that a lot of the audience sat down... But that also meant that the rest of us had a lot of room in front of the stage
It was lovely to hear John again! He is just amazing. Bob was stable and calm as always. Just plain and steady rocking
Christian and Greg did great. They are not Ronny and Louie but they play well. I was surprised to see Greg play a normal Peavey Cirrus5 with straight frets, but he told he that he was endorsed by Peavey. Greg has a good contact with the audience and nice interaction the rest of the band. I notecied a couple of errors, but then again they only had short time to practice together. It was nothing that disturbed the show. and I as a bass player I enjoyed listening to Greg. I just have a bad habit of hearing things like that.
Sound was good as always.
I have been to every Petra contert in Denmark since the early 90's and some in Sweden and Norway but this they played songs I had not heard before. That was raelly great!!! I wished the night never ended I had my hopes set up for a 3rd recall with "Praying Man" but I guess we couldn't ask for more
I know that a lot of people (including my wife) enjoyed that the lyrics were projected on the screens!
I was nice that they took good time to talk to everyone after the show. There was no sign that they wanted to get off quickly.
I'm looking forward to the next Petra concert...

I'm glad you had a great time; it seems most were not hurt by CP not being there.

Re: Petra farewell coming to scandinavia!!
I was talking about the Summer Camp Festival, that this festival is mostly for young people, - teenagers.I think you age estimate is way too low. Most of the audience was 30+
I noticed there was older people too that had come just for the concert. But It's not often I have seen so many young people at a Petra concert.
The concert was held at the "SummerCamp Festival",
and the most people there are youth between 18 and 20 I would guess.
But there were also many others that had come for just the concert,
and I saw older people too. I would guess there were around 1000 people at the concert.
Actually, they removed over 100 chairs in front of the stage, I was there and saw when they removed them.Sadly they had not removed the chairs meaning that a lot of the audience sat down...
They removed them 15 minutes before the concert started. I would say there was enough space for standing audience.
Anyway, I myself never sit down at a Petra concert!

I won't sit either if I can. I think if the seats or chairs are portable then yes please remove them.

Hi
Of course Sue. You can use them as you want too.
One more thing. I really enjoyed the way Bob and Greg played John Lawry's solo after "It is finished." (one of my all time fovorite songs). Nice gimmick for old fans
Actually the Summercamp in Denmark is the main event for the pentecoatal church in Denmark.
They have 4 subcamps for kids and young people and the main camp for everyone. All together they are 4000. ... that's one of the 2 largest Christian camp in Denmark.

Yes, Awesome videos
Thank you for putting up "Perfect World". That high note on "His will be done on the earth" is the best part of JAH... I suppose there are other good parts too.
Was "How Great Thou Art" petrafied or very similiar to the original?
