They need to come to Texas...
if any place, it would probably be Dallas -- I live around 300 miles from there. The last 2 concerts I went to were in that area: Revival 2002 in Sherman north of Dallas, and Double Take in 2000 in Dallas.

Quick question, Has any other band spoke to Petra about doing a co-headlining tour?
I remember seeing the salt box tour in Tulsa and I think it's the best concert I've ever seen and it sure sounds like a great way to go out to me. It might cut down on the time that Petra has to play but I think we could all live with that if it meant we all had a chance to see them one last time.
God Bless,
Rich

Re: New songs
Always great news from you JoshKirkman wrote:A couple things. First, the live album is not a done deal. In fact, I would lean more toward thinking it is unlikely at this point.BriGuyPEI wrote:Here's a thought. We all know that Petra will not be releasing a new studio album. But I'm sure that they already have a handful of songs that they really like. So why don't they add some of their favourite new songs to the setlist of their farewell tour? That way they can share them with the fans without needing a new album. And if they show up on a live album, then so much the better.
Second, it is extremely unlikely those songs will be played live. As I said in another thread, I have some stuff I will put online next week that addresses this topic.

Thinking if I could see I would believe, then somebody said Believe and you will see.
Re: New songs
Thanks, man. Just to follow up, my second point was based on my interview with John Schlitt (which was released after I wrote that message), so you can read it straight from his mouth.PetfanInCt wrote:Always great news from you JoshKirkman wrote:A couple things. I think that this would be a good idea. Take a younger band that is a draw and let Petra open. The only bad thing would be that people would see Petra crush whoever that they are opening for. This is what was happening at festivals. Bands tend to like to have someone hip, that borders on sucky open for them, so that they look better.STAPEARS wrote:Quick question, Has any other band spoke to Petra about doing a co-headlining tour?
