LOL, poor Double Take. It's not my favorite by any means, but it's not THAT bad for what it is. I prefer the original versions, and I don't necessarilly think it should have gotten an award, but it's interesting to hear different versions of the songs.

Of course, it has been awhile since I've listened to it, and this is from the lady who has confessed to liking Davy Jones and David Cassidy when she was a kid.

Brent. I still have LPs (I don't mean percussion). I have Cassettes and a few 8-Tracks. I love the CD format, but at the same time I have a pretty large digital collection as well.

There is something different with this transition than there was with previous transitions. While I agree that the digital format is becoming the primary source for music, it is taking a bit longer for people to completely move directly to that being the only format they listen too.

The Benefit for this format is that we are also seeing record companies finally able to re-issue old albums because it doesn't cost that much to do it on iTunes and amazon, I believe this is part of the reason why Frontline Records is starting to make a comeback with re-issuing their entire catalog.

The downside with the idea of just releasing singles over a year’s time is the element of surprise, there is still nothing like popping a new CD in the player and listening to 1 hard kick after another on a rock album, or cross fading 2 tracks on a CD like "It's killing Me" & "Dive" on dc Talk's Supernatural. Another thing, If you have been listening to the same single over and over for several weeks until the next track is released by the time you have an album you’ve heard it all. Fans could be tired of the album before the band tours in support of all the songs.

Another thing is, I can’t help but hear in the back of my mind (and I know you know what I’m talking about brent) many older listeners that don’t get it somewhere down the line after releasing all the songs by the end of the year they still come up and say “Those are good, but when are you guys recording a new album?”
