Give me some specifics, Brent. I'd like to hear what you're saying. You're comparing this version to the original 1981, right?

What key elements are missing? Dynamics?

I like it, but I'm not too crazy about the Italian singer's voice; I'm with Brent and would have much rather heard John sing the whole thing. On the other side this might open up Petra's music to Italy which could be a whole other market that they have yet to be in.

John has never played in Italy, so if this opens doors it would be fantastic. This is what we're hoping for; the Italians have plans!

Check out this video of Davi - over 136,000 views on Youtube. Nice! Listen to his voice in the lower registers near the end of the video... see what you think.

@Sue re: the song....yes. I prefer the vibe and energy of the first one and the CITAS vinyl version. The new version just doesn't punch. It has a modern gloss, lots of compression, and no musical dynamics. I am sure the now generation will love it. I am the old generation that grew up with this stuff the first time, and so I hear with the memories and feelings that this generation could not appreciate.

As for the artist's vocals...they are not my thing, but they are obviously favored by lots of others. It's also kind of hard to decide on a kids chops when he is singing in another language.

I hope it all works out for them. John should make the people really happy. Italy is an open market.
