New Petra Single Confusion?

Post by fcollazo » Wed Jun 05, 2013 10:05 pm

Is it going to be: "Still Thirsty" or "Holy is Your Name"?

I am confused. Sue announced that they were in the studio working on the new single "Still Thirsty" but now they announced on Petra's Facebook page that this weekend they will be playing live the new single "Holy is Your Name".

Are we getting more songs? Seems like it.

Anybody has any info on this!!!

You should visit here more often, Felipe. 8)

Still Thirsty has been reworked and retitled. It's the same song, with a different title. It will be released on the compilation album 40th Anniversary on July 30th. So for now, only one new song.

This weekend they'll start playing it live, so I hope there'll be anyone there to capture this on video to give us all a sneak peek.

Same song. Bob renamed it during the recording process.

I'm very excited about a new Petra tune, but I have to admit I'm hoping for some Bob lyrics that challenge and inspire...no offense to the P&W lovers :)

Confusion is probably our fault. Grasping for anything of substance, we run with any tidbit, whether it comes from the band or not.

I talked to the guys at a Meet and Greet before their concert on 6/7 in Minnesota. Bob said the song is done. It is called "Holy is Your Name". He was talking about it being a praise & worship song that will be available for download sometime.

They played it as part of their encore.
