Toronto Concert

Post by challies » Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:24 am

I hear October 16th is looking like the likely date for a Toronto show.

Ontario

If Petra does come to Ontario I hope for the following:
1. Whatever the case, they play a full 45 minute set at least
2. They come to more than one city-I would suggest London, Toronto, Barrie, and Sault Ste. Marie. I live in Flesherton
I am dying to see the boys one last time. Haven't seen them since 2001 in Lapeer MI and that was without Bob Hartman.

I remember seeing them at Wonderland in 1995. And then I hosted them at Queensway Cathedral in 1998. And I saw them once at Massey Hall back on the tail end of the Unseen Power tour.

Anyways, I believe they'll be playing Canada Christian College on October 16th.

Hey I was there too! That was the only time I ever got to see Petra. I remember they had originally booked two shows and then added a third! I was up in the balcony at the second (Saturday) show looking down on Louie's kit. The sound wasn't great up there, but the view was awesome.

That was a great show - Petra at their best with their best lineup. I was in the second row from the front. My first-ever rock concert. I had a grand ol' time and managed to get Bob's autograph after the show.

A couple questions for ya:
1. Will Petra be the only act on the bill or will Farewell June be with them? If you need an opener, my brother in law to be, JP Smits (formerly of Zacc's Tree, who have played with Third Day etc) may be a possibility. His style is a mix between John Mayer and Bryan Adams.
2. Are there any other Ontario dates???

PETRA MEANS ROCK!

October 16th? You sure? That's a Sunday eh. Would the 15 or 14th be more likely?

15th or 14th could be possible. I'm just passing along what I heard from their agent. Fact is, I was going to look at promoting the show unless someone else did it, and when he told me that Canada Christian College had put in a bid, I pulled back. Anyways, it should be mid-October if all goes well. And I'm quite sure Farewell June will be with them in Toronto.
