Kentucky Petheads Unite!

I've been to the Newsong Festival a few times in the past, and it's always been a blast! I worked security for one year when Petra was the headliner. It was in the early ninties back when Wake Up Call came out. That was a GREAT experience! The crowd was really into them.

I won't be making it this year, but it sounds like the lineup is awesome!

Camp Loucon is a great place to hold the festival! I went there a few times for a music and drama camp when I was in youth group. I have a lot of fond memories of the place.

As far as Soul2Soul is concerned, I'll need to figure out what I'm going to be wearing and post it. I'd love to see all the Petheads there--it will be nice to actually put faces to the names.

Hey Johnathan,

I remember seeing Jeff Calhoun there as well--he did a good job...a great praise and worship leader.

What sticks in my mind was seeing Jeff at the festival, then watching Studio 828 with Al Denson and seeing him lead the band.

If my memory serves me correctly, I may have also seen him open for Phil Keaggy when he played at the Homecoming concert at Asbury Theological Seminary several years ago. I may be mixing up my concerts, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

We'll have to see if we can all meet sometime while we're there.

Dude! My wife, my little Pethead daughter and I will be there. As early as we can manage it. I'm going to check out the Lifeway Christian Stores here in Lexington, if we have any, to see if they have tickets. If not, I'll buy them over the phone. But we will DEFINITELY be there!!
