Hi Everyone

Sorry about my Jekyll and Hyde rant..I like the cd too. Petra is awesome. Bob hartman is a talented and gifted musican and songwritter and is the heart of Petra.

My favorite albums are from Back to the Street to No Doubt...Like the praise albums and well Jekyll and Hyde.

What your favorite albums, or favorite. I cant think of just one. Too many great songs.

Does anyone here have the real story on louie weavers departure. He was with the band for so long then its like bye bye.

This website is awesome..I love the fact it has so much posts..

Godbless Petra

and Godbless everyone here

J&H, and even though it took awhile to grow on me, God Fixation has blessed me recently. I enjoy most, but not all the songs, off of it, but its still a great cd.

From one month to a next, my tastes change.

Best to just drop it; we'll probably never know all the details. :)

That IS strange though. If they don't tell us why, we'll think he did something horrible or something! Seems like honesty is best. But oh well...

My favorites: probably On Fire!, Back to the Street, and Jekyll & Hyde.

I also quite enjoy much of God Fixation. Particularly If I Had To Die For Someone, Hello Again, Falling Up, Set For Life, Magnet of the World, St. Augustine's Pears, and Invitation. But, unlike most Petra albums, there's more than one song I don't really care for...

Well I agree that we should drop it

Bob has been on this board before, It would be good to hear from Bob and John on their side of the story.....but it's best to drop it

My top two faivorite albums are Jekyll & Hyde and Wake-Up Call. I still believe that Wake-Up Call was full rocker, because it seemed like even the slow songs had a full driving beat.

But as much as Wake-Up Call rocked.....Jekyll & Hyde is still 100% Harder then anything they've done before.

I've always been partial to "More Power To Ya" because it was the first one I heard. J & H now ranks near the top too. Then, maybe, Beat The System.

Post by Michael » Mon Jan 12, 2004 2:30 pm

Most people here alreayd probably know this, but maybe not everybody... Cat and I have been compiling a list of "fan favorites" for a while now. Check it out (and vote!) at http://www.guidetopetra.com/FanRankings.html.

Hmmm... Wake-Up Call, right there in the top 5!

I have my favorites, but it seems to change from week to week. It just depends what I am feeling or going through in my life. More Power To Ya is really special to me because that is my first listen of Petra. It's funny, but I remember telling a friend when we first heard MPTY that this is cool especially Judas' Kiss, but the voice doesn't seem to fit the style of music. The late eighties brought a fav in On Fire! and than also Beyond Belief, but it seems that I keep going back to JAH. This style of music fits me so well. It's raw and it is almost like a live album. I listen to On Fire! the other day and could not believe on how light it sounded. JAH blows it away in the heavy department.
