I'm tentatively planning to be at Petra's concert in Bogota, Colombia on December 18. Currently, it is THE LAST CONCERT scheduled. Wouldn't it be fun to say you've been to Petra's final concert?

Just fishing here in a pathetic attempt to see if anyone would be interested in joining me. Besides the concert, I plan to head to the jungle town of Leticia for 2-3 days and probably a little village or two in the hills around Bogota. Or might be able to do the coastal resort town of Cartagena also/instead if that would strike your jollies.
There's probably no chance of me talking someone else from here into going, even though it's relatively close (an hour or two in the plane). My mission might discourage me from going if I can't find anyone else.
Colombia has a bad rap in the news, but I regularly read the Lonely Planet travel forum for South America, and it is consistently one of the highest rated countries for scenery, niceness of the people, and even safety! We will stay well away from guerilla controlled areas.
Bogota is the one of the closest South American cities to the States, and you should be able to find reasonable airfare from most parts of the country.
