Greetings, I am new to the group and I have a couple of questions. What is the Cit and Cita debate? I know you might find that wierd but I really do not know. Plus, does anyone know about the cover of the new live album. I would like to propose that they go back to the old guitar - spaceship way. I think that a bit of vintage would go a long way.

I beleive it is Captured in Time and Space concert video from back in the day, I would love a new copy of it, I have a old bootleg VHS, any help on this matter?

The debate takes two twists. Will there be a new remastered DVD of the Captured in time and space VHS? Of course we all want that, but most feel it will never happen.

The other is a joke. Is the proper abbreviation CITAS or CITS. In other words, should the AND or & be represented in the abbreviation. Of course, the members of AND BAND think it should.

O.K., now I'll explain that one. AND BAND is a group of talented Petheads that will occasionally back up John on his solo concerts. From video footage that I've seen, they are very good.

And band is great! The gave me a demo and it rocks!
I would gladly like to get them at our church w/ John...hopefully that will happen soon! I have a buzz going on at our church/school about all of this since I was in franklin for the DVD! A bunch of the mom's had found out from my 5 year old son ,mikey, that we had seen Petra in nashville...and that we were on the dvd and got interviewed! He is a smart kid...but anyways...Moms were swarming around me when I got back! One asked me what would happen to the band once they retire? I told them that John was wanting to coninue on and the others were not sure. I told her that I would like to get John at our church and she was smiling ear to ear she said that would be awesome! Never know!

As a member of AndBand I would like to continue to go on record as saying, "It's CITS"

Although, we were talking at the DVD taping about spelling AndBand &Band but I don't think it looks as good now.

BTW The name came from people always introducing us as John Schlitt and band.

I saw the AND BAND with John in Pekin Il quite a few years back and they played every song perfectly. It was really really weird that John Schlit opened up for the local marching band on the Fourth of July on the football field. The sound was ok and I think they might have even played J&H before it was out, can't remember. I talked to John that evening for quite awhile and described where I worked but didn't tell him and he said, "you work at ADM in Clinton don't you" He knew I was from Iowa but he had no idea where I worked. His brother worked at ADM in Decatur IL and John grew up real close so it was obvious to him. But it was really really weird for me, believe me. I was very very impressed with the AND BAND. Guys don't let it get to your heads, cover bands I've been in before. It just takes people that love the music and want to learn it.
