Petra a name for the baby?

Post by johnathan » Tue Oct 11, 2005 3:03 pm

We are thinking of names for the baby,we could use some help for a little girls name. I think it would be neat if you all could help us think of a name.we like Grace and Faith for middle names. If it is a boy it will be named after me,Johnathan David Elam. I am trying to get Meagan to agree on Petra for a name LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .It is a joke with my whole family. Anyway we would love your alls input! Thanks !

I went to school with a girl named Petra (pronounced PAY-tra); her parents came from Germany.

It's kind of a neat name.... unusual, at least.

I always liked Holly Sue........ but I had a boy instead.

Well, if I had a girl and had my way I'd name her Deanna. It would be David for a boy. I've always loved both those names.

Rebecca, Kathleen, Hannah, Emily and Elizabeth are good names for girls; Michael, John, Matthew and Tyler are good for boys. We have a bunch of Michaels in our family.

Well, you've already got a long-time Petra producer for the boy's name. Is that good enough?

For a girl's name you could always go for a more subtle Petra reference, like Annie, or Sally, or Lucas
Then again maybe not, since Annie committed suicide and Sally turned away from the Lord. Not the best references for a baby name.

Yeah Sally was living on the wrong side of town smoking pot and fooling around. You don't want to use that name.

But it's not too late for Annie, as long as you notice her weeping and tell her Jesus loves her, tell her Jesus cares.

It's not too late.

You could really go over the edge and name a boy Kenneniah.... Kenny for short.

People give me the strangest looks when I tell them, but I named my canary that! He was the most excellent singer I've ever had.
