I stopped by both of the Christian bookstores I mentioned after I got off of work, and neither of them had it. The one that I said didn't have much music did have the Tree 63 release that also came out today. They are a great band by the way and also on inpop. I asked them and they nothing about it. I got the same response from the young, probably college age guy, that some of you are getting: I didn't even know they were still around. I told them about what they've been doing, and he said he'd have to order it for himself.

The other bookstore worker said the same thing. This lady was probably about my age and had liked Petra, but didn't know they had anything after Beyond Belief. I also told her about what was happening with them, and she said she's see about ordering it.

I went buy wal mart later tonight with my wife to get some other things, but I went to see if they had it. They did not. I asked a guy to see if they had, and they said the same thing that the guy in the previous post talked about. He stated that they had tons of stuff to put out because a lot of stuff comes out on Tuesday anyway, plus nearing the holidays. I know the trueness of this as I used to work at that same Hastings I've mentioned before, and Tuesdays are new release day, and holidays are not a fun time to be working in retail. Just too much stuff to do.

Anyway, I think when things don't go your way or you don't get what you think you want, still treat people with respect, dignity, and love, even if they are wrong, are rude to you, or seemingly "stupid". I've learned that when I do that usually they will make the effort to try to help me.

Went to our Family Christian Store today. Same story as above--they didn't have it and it wasn't even listed on the computer. Found mine at Wal Mart, they had one copy. I know it is frustrating not to find it in Christian stores. But I think it is neat that some of the secular stores are carrying it. After all that's one of the things Petra's ministry has been about... putting the Gospel in the secular marketplace.

Cornerstone Christian Store has some. It is behind the Target in Snelville.
I do not not know how many they have left but I always fight the traffic to go there coz they are a localy owned and if they dont have what you are looking for they will get it.

For what it's worth, "Petra: Farewell" hasn't been in any of the bulk mail catalogs I've received from Lifeway or Family in the past 2 weeks.

Shara, FYI - Lifeway Christian Store in Mobile, AL. said that the CD was not even in their computer system and that they did not have any. I gave the manager some flats and coupons yesterday afternoon. I do not know what is going on, but something got messed up big time!

Crossroads Book & Gifts in Mobile did have 10 copies.

I called the Family Christian Store in Lexington, Kentucky (Mist Lake Plaza) and they said that didn't have any yet.. but that they would have a couple on the way. The clerk was very nice....said "they always carry everything Petra." They wanted to ring me up for one already! I said "no thanks" (I am hoping to get it for Christmas!) Where should I tell people to get it? You that within a week or so most stores (Wal-Mart, Family Christian, Best Buy will have it?)

:D My wife called Wal-Mart here in Mishawaka, IN and had them hold a copy. We went and got it a couple of hours ago. We also ran into Kimberly Ann( a DJ from PULSE FM--our local Christian Radio station) and she said they're going to be giving 20 copies ,or so, of "Farewell" away as part of their "Share-a-thon" fund raiser next week.

Cat called Lifeway here in Tulsa back, and they don't have the CD in stock but they're going to use our coupons when they do get it.

Man.... Hearing all the trouble you guys had getting the CD, I'm glad I picked up my copy at the Irving concert. They had mentioned that they wouldn't have them on sale during the concert, but when I went to the Petra table after the show, they had a stack of them, that went QUICK. I got a T-Shirt, a Beanie, and the CD.

Listened to the CD all the way from Dallas back to San Antonio the next day....
