The Right Kiss

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Mon Jan 02, 2006 12:04 pm

I think it's cool Right Place made it on the album, but they should have still put Judas' Kiss on there too.

What else: hmm, everything Toby and Toby said, plus Beat the System, Back to the Street, All Fired Up, I Am On the Rock, and Praying Man. (Besides, Praying Man was concert staple anyway)

Farewell II

Post by BForm » Mon Jan 02, 2006 4:13 pm

Don't worry guys. When Petra comes back in two years to do the Farewell II album, it will include a completely different song list and have most of the ones you've listed.

This comes from Inpop!

Just kidding. Don't anybody start making phone calls.

The revamped Judas Kiss had a great guitar break, and it would be good if that had been on the CD.

I also think Perfect World was the best song on the J&H CD and I wish that had been on the CD.

Lastly, I love to hear Petra perform Lord I Lift Your Name on High. It's become a compulsory part of their show for me, and I'll bet they did perform it. I'm sorry it isn't on the CD.

Point blank, Petra should have put 'God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You' on it. Two reasons. First it was their first 'hit' song. Would have been nice bookends to finish with it. Secondly, think of the lyrics to the song. Before Petra how much Christian Rock was there. They broke the mold of what Christian music could be and the lyrics to GGR&RTY describe what Petra did perfectly.

Keep in mind it's not my favorite song, I too would have liked St. Augustine's Pears, but it is the most fitting.

Destiny
Just Reach Out
Beat the System (with Greg)

But also
Since it was the Farewell album, why didn't they do a Medley with John singing, Backsliding Blues, Wake-UP, Walking In the Light and Come and Join Us??? I would have loved to hear what John would sound like singing those songs.

I'm fine with the song selection. I just wish the entire cd was better quality. I just took the Judas' Kiss from Vertical Expressions and inserted it after creed on Farewell.
