John & Dorla Schlitt on Life Today was great! DOWNLOAD
It was great to be at the taping!! A friend of mine from Houston was gracious enough to take me up there and we made it in the nick of time. I thought that we'd really be late. But we made it with 2 minutes to spare and then when we got there they hadn't let anyone in yet. So it was nice to have front row seats!
Good to see Dorla too and give her a big hug afterwards. She's such a sweetheart and nice lady!
Glad that I lived in Houston still at that time, hehe.

Sam, you FINALLY watched it? 3 a.m.?? you made your TV debut on this too - twice..... has anyone spotted her yet?
John really does have a passion for Christ... I was just at a concert this weekend, and he also preached at the church service on Sunday.
Yes, PREACH is the correct word, because if you've ever heard him talk and give his story - he's preaching. And he's excellent at it.
I told yesterday that if he ever decided to hang up speaking - he's make an excellent preacher. He just smiled and said "I'm just giving my testimony."
"No John, you're doing more than that."
I honestly think that God will be using THIS ability much more in the future.
You know, if your church isn't interested in the music - maybe they would be interested in John as a speaker. Based on all his life experiences, he could address any number of groups/topics - or the entire church at large.
Think about it!!

I'm here to affirm Sue's comments about John's church appearance yesterday.
John was truly inspried and on fire, and yes, the singing was incidental. However, the concert the night before with Morris Mott wasn't bad either!

If you're into country (and even if you're not), Morris is a hoot!
He's an excellent talented musician, preacher, comedian and all-around fun guy who can talk your head off if you're not careful! lol!

KEEP IT LOUD FOR CHRIST!
KEEP IT LOUD FOR CHRIST!
I am really digging Morris Mott's "Faith Country" music! I do like the old-time country music and this guy really stays true to that formula! This is good old country without all the other stuff that generally makes country music so depressing! He leaves out all the stereotypical "My truck broke down on the side of the road and my wife left me!" non-sense and fills his country music with the hope that is only found in Jesus Christ! Mainstream country artists should stand up and take notice!
