Hmm, must of been 1985 or 86. I think it was a back ground trax too.. ha.. cant remember tho.. But it was prolly the song First Love. First time i seen them was @ Agape Fest 1990 i think.. Beyond Belief Tour. Seen them a few more times after that.. Peace!

:) It should be a medley with guitar-intros and/or guitar-solo's from some of my favorite Petra-songs. I'm still working with the medley (almost 3 of the songs are finished)...

Some of the songs I've included in the medley (more or less):
Beyond Belief
Life as We Know It
Bob's solo(like the solo at the farewell-cd (and tour 1994, 2003-2005)
Midnight Oil
Rose Colored Stained Glass Windows
Judas Kiss
Mine Field
I'm on The Rock
Somebodys gonna praise His name

well... You can hear a veryvery small part of the medley here (hope you recognize it  ):

First Petra Album

Post by jasonf » Thu Oct 26, 2006 8:27 am

My first listen to Petra was in 1984 one week after i accepted Christ.
It was the Beat the System Album.
My mum gave it to me as a present for accepting Christ and it was my very first taste of Christian Music.I have been hooked on Petra ever since.

I was in Mineral Wells, TX in 1990 on a camping trip with the other 5th and 6th graders from my church. The other guys were telling ghost stories (which terrified me at the time) late at night, so I wound up on the other side of the "cabin" (read: log building with a roof and screen mesh for windows) listening to what I found out later was "PetraPraise: The Rock Cries Out" through a friend's walkman.

Off-topic: When did the bots get so bad on this board?

Hey, did you ever think twice? If you don't bother, gonna pay the price...
