Hey P-freak!

Your just in time! I was just about to post somethin about it! Yeah I was one of the lucky ones to see the "First One" as John put it! I absolutly loved it! It was a lot more personal than a Petra concert! One of my favorite things was how HILARIOUS Bob is! Seriously, its not something you would really expect of him watching him in Petra concerts, I think a lot of people get the idea that he's Mr. Serious but he had the whole audience crackin up at some of his stories.. It was a really cool! Also, the setlist is GREAT! and how they are arranged is so cool! Bob didnt just play the songs how he would on an electric guitar just on an acoustic they have sorta revamped 'em and the music was extremely enjoyable!! I dont wanna give away the whole setlist but one that I was REAL happy to hear was Just Reach Out! I've questioned John before why he didnt have it in his solo set and he looked at me like he just relized that he was missing a great song and said "You know what buddy.... I dont KNOW!! So it was awesome that they put that one in there! They also played a great selection of a few praise songs with a band that backed them up and got the whole audience clapping and singing along and allowed us all to give praise in what I found to be a very intimate way. I enjoyed it very much! Also there was some more serious stories like Bob's testimony which I had never fully heard before. John told a story about one of his visits involved with Food For The Hungry that litterly brought tears to my eyes! All in all it was a great concert! I definently plan on going to another one and I really hope that maybe we could see another live cd of THIS show! If John and Bob are gonna be around I would definently try and catch 'em if I were you! We accually drove almost 5 hours and we didnt even get tired on the way home that night cause we kept talkin about the show! My brother and I took my little sister cause she really likes John but had never got to meet him and she was all blushes when she did get to meet him and of course he was so cool with her!! We all enjoyed our selves VERY much!!!

Yeah, I was wondering when someone was going to post about it!
I couldn't go because I had a concert coming up the next day, so it sure is always nice to read reports from those who where there.

Rumor has it that the setlist is likely to vary from show to show. :)

As they say, Variety is the Spice of Life!
Mix in some local church bands, a bunch of Petra fans, and you have a great recipe for a wonderful time!

Seriously, you all DO need to come to one of these shows. If there is any thought about this being a sleeper concert - nothing could be further from the truth.

You've all heard Bob on the electric guitar, but you've never heard anyone jam on an acoustic like Bob does - he sounds like a whole band all by himself. Picture the acoustic medley on Farewell - then multiply it by 10 and crank up the energy - and you'll be close to what you will hear in these concerts.

And John? What can I say that I haven't said before.... he simply has a voice that never quits.

But like Stephen said - one unique thing about this type of concert is the CAMARADERIE between John & Bob - they're a stitch on stage! Very funny - almost comedic at times. Next time you see Bob - ask him if he brought his KEYS along!

On the other hand, when it came time for the serious moments, the audience was led into a spirit of quiet worship and awe of our Lord.

All in all, this concert was all I envisioned - and moreso.

If you can't get to one of the concerts - talk it up with your OWN church and see what they say about hosting a show. If you can't get to a concert - bring the concert to YOU!

I agree whole heartedly with Shlittism! The set list was great. It was an awesome worhip time with some clasics thrown in. It was refreshing to see Bob cutting up on stage. He really was hilarious, and played to both John and the audience in a way I haven't seen before. Keep it up Bob! He also rocked on the acustic guitar - as John said, he sounded like a whole band. We stayed over night and went back for church in the morning where John and Bob led worship. Again a powerful time of worship. John then gave his testimony in more detail than I have ever heard it! It was as powerful as ever. I hope John and Bob keep touring. This ministry continues to tough lives, and hopefully will contiue to for a long time to come.
