Petra Praise II Tour - Question

Hello all,

This is my first post to the Petra Zone forum.

I saw Petra, along with John Cox and Jonathan (formerly of the Christian hard rock group, Novella), on their Petra Praise II/We Need Jesus tour in Lawrenceburg, TN, and am trying to track down the exact date of the show.

I'm pretty sure the concert was held over Easter weekend, and was probably in either 1997 or 1998, but that's just a guess. If anyone knows about what timeframe the Praise II tour ran, that might be helpful.

It's a longshot, I know, but I thought I'd post it to the message board and see what the folks here could come up with.

I don't have any records from that time, but you might find a tour/sched ad in one of the magazine pages I have posted on John's site.

Go to his site, click on MEDIA MOMENTS and look under Magazine Articles/Ads.

It's worth a shot.

Thank you for your lightning-quick reply. I took a look at your web site and did, indeed, find the date in question.

The Lawrenceburg show was held on Good Friday, March 28th, 1997.

Hi there and welcome. The PP2 tour was my first ever Christian concert (obviously my first Petra show as well). We saw them with John Cox, Shaded Red and Tammy Trent in October 1996. The reason I bring this up is that one of our fellow Petheads (goes by TrodLan) has great video footage from that show (at Faith City in Delaware). I have the entire video with Cox and the others somewhere as well.
