I never meant that we'd want to pull ALL the vids - of course not. You have to have something out there for people - and promoters to SEE.
I too love the full concerts on the net, but I know it's better (from an artist's standpoint) to have select songs vs. the full thing. Kinda like getting free samples at the grocery store - just enough to whet your whistle so you buy some!
Of course, you need to factor in the MESSAGE part of this too - and then that becomes a whole 'nother ball game.
You know what would solve the problem? If we had MORE CONCERT DATES so everyone would have the opportunity to see II Guys. Summer has been very good, but past Sept. - we're at a standstill again.
The more concerts - the more opportunities to see the guys. Most promoters have priced tickets very affordable - between $10-$15.
And from a promoter's point of view - the cost is very reasonable - especially if you live within 400 miles of Nashville. The guys are willing to DRIVE, rather than fly.
Plainly & simply - we need more dates to FILL the calendar.
Have you guys ever thought of putting on a show yourself through your church? It may sound like a daunting task - but really - it's not that difficult, especially if you have a good group of people helping you.
And you always have me to answer questions and help out!
Think about it... pray about it. Seriously.

Sue D., in response to your previous posting, I must say hosting and promoting a show has crossed my mind in the past. I am just not sure if there would be enough interest. And that is NOT a knock against John and Bob. In 2003, Toronto had to cancel a Delerious concert due to poor ticket sales. Skillet had a poor crowd at a show in Kitchener (near my place) just a couple of years ago. Christian concerts just do not seem to carry the same excitement anymore. In the past (late nineties), Christian rock concerts had no troubles selling tickets here. Toronto and London were the two main destinations. Like I'm talking Petra, Newsboys, Michael W. Smith, Bleach, etc. But lately (2002-present), it seems that Christian rock shows have been a tough sell. Why, I don't know the reason for the shift. Mainstream rockers come through, charge huge money and get sell-outs. Recently, however, Hillsong United got 10 000 out to their show in Toronto, so I guess that is positive.
Would I love to have 2 Guys come to my area? No question, yes. But I just do not know if it would be possible.
Are you going to be in Barrie with 2 Guys on the August 17-19 weekend? It would be cool to meet. Hope to see you there.

Sometimes concerts CAN be a tough sell... why? Who knows. Like you said - I've seen people buy $100+ tickets for a Bon Jovi concert, but those same Christian people balk at spending $10-$20 bucks for a Christian show.
GO FIGURE!
In the shows I've promoted, I always got the funding up front. That way, it doesn't MATTER how many people come. The money has already been taken care of.
I've had some low attended shows... but I learned that it's not the numbers that count - it's the blessing that the people receive that's the important thing.
And no... I won't be coming to Barrie. I love to travel, but it's just not practical for me to go to every show (maybe one day I'll have 'manager status' and be able to write an extra air ticket into the contract!) lol! (... just kidding...)
