If you guys can find it, "Jungle Music" from Servant was the first one to incorporate band names into a tune. Petra, DeGarmo and Key and many others are listed in the tune.

I don't blame him giving that look as he throws the picture, it has Lichens in it. (No doubt photo shoot) this picture

The T-Bone guy has probably got no clue. I guess they just picked a picture at random from some archive.

I've always fantasized on how Petra would have sounded if it collaborated with a rap artist like T-bone for example, on a song like Dance, with a funky beat, and rap verses, and John as the chorus vocals. Ha Ha. Woulda Shoulda can be in too and a number of their heavily rythmic tunes. Well unfortunately it begins and ends with 'imagine'

I'm sure T-Bone does have a clue as he has been around the Christian music industry for a long time. I remember seeing him as a dancer for Carman back during his tours for "The Standard" and "RIOT".
Interestingly, David Lichens has been making somewhat of a name for himself in the mainstream market. He had a single on the soundtrack of the movie "She's The Man" (I believe he also worked on some of the music for this film) and he is preparing to release his first solo effort.

Dave Lichens was 'fired' from the band by John. It had to do with different opinions about the direction Petra would be taking. Rumour has it that there was also some undefined 'un-Christian' behaviour by Dave that caused John to fire him. The whole situation is a bit fuzzy to me, but I don't think Dave willingly left the band.

That would be pretty interesting and hilarious, I'd love it!!! Run DMC did a crazy hip-hop version of "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith, I think someone should do the same with a Petra song, too.

Bride did an interesting cover of "God Gave Rock And Roll To You" with a rap group (D.O.C., I think).
