Rick Derringer ft. John Schlitt ??

I have just completed a brand new version of REAL AMERICAN, with all the last year's lyrical updates. It is very cool, and we plan to release it on one of our forthcoming CD's. It has Mark Farner (Grand Funk) singing two songs by himself and joining with Jenda & I on another> John Schlitt (singer from Petra, and before that HEAD EAST) singing two songs> Phil Keaggy trading guitar licks with me on one song. It will tentatively be called "High City".

The above quote is by Rick Derringer from the messageboard of his own website. In one of John's newsletters some time ago there was also a mentioning of this project. Does anyone have any idea as to the current status of this project?

I was also wondering about this... I talked to John about it one time in Indianapolis about a year ago and he said that there was A LOT of work to be done... but I hope it is still happening!!

Hmmm...... good question! I was expecting Rick to send me info so I could help publicize the project, but haven't heard anything.

I'll have to see what John knows about it.
