A new FILM project regarding John Schlitt! Can YOU help me?

Hello folks!

Hope you are alright.

Just like all of you, I am a big fan of Petra. But I'm also a young Christian film maker from Sweden, and at the moment I'm working with a project which means a documentary film about John Schlitt. A film about John and his work with his new album; The Grafting.

That means that I have to go to the U.S. to do interviews with John. The problem is that I don´t have any place to live that week in April when I'm in the Nashville area. My contact, Sue Dempster came up with an idea to ask you folks at the Zone if anybody is willing to help me with lodging or if you know some other solutions.

If I don't have any place to stay, there will not be a movie about John. I would very grateful if someone here have the possibility to help me make this vision to a piece in the puzzle of Petra and John's ministry.

Why don't you contact a videographer in Nashville, have them shoot and ask the questions that you need, and then have them email or ftp the dailies back to you?

You should contact Stephen Yake Productions. That guy is the king of Christian videos on a budget. Maybe he has a wharehouse facility you can use. He is a long-time friend of Petra.

If you don't mind, what will be done with this film? Is it film or digital video?

Yes, this is the real thing. Rickard, with the blessing of his church and school, is willing to travel to the U.S. at his expense to do a documentary-type film (something similar to the "Revival" or 700 Club videos), but have it focus on John.

Yes, he wants to do this out of the goodness of his heart. I've seen his work, and it is VERY GOOD!

We love this idea and would welcome him here, but he needs a bed! If anyone has any ideas, please let him know.

Brent, yours is a good idea, but there is no budget - on our part. It's taken everything to get the album done and out. I know what you're saying about having Yake Prod. do it, but film/photography is an art to itself.... a person wants to do this himself, not shop it out to another videographer or filmmaker. At least that's the way I would feel....
