PETRA's "Greatest Hits"

Post by pethead97 » Sat Jun 28, 2008 9:33 am

About 10 years ago, I compiled a list of what songs from each Petra album that made a "greatest hits" compilation. I just recently updated it. Here is a link to it....

Enjoy!

All I know is...if someone puts out a Petra compliation with "St. Augustine's Pears" included, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

A criminally underrated song from an equally underrated album.

Hey, someone's gotta fly the flag for GOD FIXATION...might as well be me!

A criminally underrated song
I would have to say that about "The Invitation." That's an incredibly moving song... a standout on a really good album (I'm with you there, Pears!)

I personally think that "Bema Seat" from "Not of this World" is very underrated.

Hello Again helped me deal with my Grandad's Home going years ago. God Fixation is a great album from start to finish.

I really love the title song God Fixation.

I love it coz of the The bass intro, powerful guitar slides, short and focused (but beautiful solo), and the fast reverberating bass solo and the dissonant sounding chords in the chorus.

The arrangment of the several guitars is quite superb.

It truly is a great song for those who have time to listen to it keenly.
