Arthritis? huh?

Let me say this -- after hearing Bob and John play this past weekend ( a full set Sat. night, two church services and one special set Sunday after getting very little sleep), there is NO lack of ability or flexibility in Bob's fingers!

The man is incredible and has more talent in his little pinky that a dozen guitar players have in their whole hand.

I'll second your comment, shawnp.

First this little one off deal. Then a concert in Puerto Rico, a reunion tour, and a regrouping of the band for a new album.

II Guys are again available and open do so shows!

After this weekend, it was very clear to Bob that the Lord is continuing to work through him and John, and if the opportunity arises, or if a church would like to bring them in -- then he is more than willing to go.

SO..... if you would like to see II Guys at your church -- talk to your pastor and explore the possibilities.

I think the best way to look at it is, Let God work through Bob, John and any other former member and just see what happens. Pray for God's Will to be done; I know that is what John and Bob are praying for.

This was not a Petra reunion. This was four guys from Petra with Dan playing Petra songs for a church whose staff are long time friends of Petra. Even though high school class members reunite at "reunions" for one evening to catch up and have a good time, this was not called a reunion. This was four former Petra members agreeing to play Petra songs to people that know Petra. Nothing more. :D

People are returning to God by leaving the church.

I have to add to what Sue said - this weekend Bob and John were awesome. They admitted that they hadn't played together as II Guys for quite a while but the 300+ people who were there couldn't get enough! They were great musically, vocally, and they played off of one another masterfully - joking and being very playful with the crowd and one another. They played at the concert Sat. Night, then at two services on Sunday (doing 6 songs at each) and then closed the weekend at a celebration luncheon - at which they played 6 songs.
You might like to know that as a special favor - they did "Till Everything I Do" from J&H live for the first time ever - and it was awesome. (We used that song in our PowerPoint Presentation for a mission initiative that we just finished - and so they were nice enough to play it for us as a special gift. It was truly awesome. They treated us like family - as this was the third time they came to us.
Thanks guys and thanks Sue. It was great seeing you again!

Thank YOU, Mr. Jejac77, for going way over and above the call of duty AGAIN and bringing us all in for a great time at St. Barts!

I agree there is something very special to a II Guys Show. I'm generally a guy that enjoys a whole crankin' band - but a few songs into their show I forgot that the rest of the band wasnt there. I saw a show in MN in 2009 and the Guys were ON FIRE - no pun intented  but honestly - they spark off of each other so well and both have such wit - a II Guys show is a great expierience not to be missed. PERFECT for churches.

Wow, I think "Till Everything I Do" should be a permenant song for II Guys - I've always loved that one and also "Sacred Trust." Some people thought that the J.A.H album softened up too much towards the end but I really love the contrast and the lighter songs are among my favorite on the album.

I mean give the guy a break for crying out loud, if you think you could do better than lets hear it.

I think that a lot of you guys, think its time for us to pitch in and buy all the guys rocking chairs so they can sit on their porches and tell us stories about the old days.

Just my opinion
Wow, I haven't had that type of reaction sice I told my wife she was getting as bit hippy.

And yes, I'm still marries many yers later.

Sorry for jumping so hard on you, but I think the guys just need to be supported for what they do, instead of always being torn down for petty stuff.

I do support them.

I'll drop Bob an encouraging email once in awhile. I purchase their merchandise and include them in my prayers.

For some reason, we're afraid to discuss critically the band and their music. I guess intelligent conversation is not welcome.
